By the way, every post from this point on assumes Vi is town. Vi's slated to die unstoppably, and there's just not reason to even waste breath or mental space considering the option where the end pan out is "town has already won the game".

So, 3p LyLo with UT and Spyrex, let's see.

UT deployed defensively, which means one of two things

1) UT didn't know about how Fail Safe worked
2) UT DID know about how Fail Safe worked

if 2, there's a question of "why". Given that he know Vi would be sabotaged, and in this scenario, would know MoI's nuke is unstoppable, it doesn't make sense for town UT to deprive himself of a nuke shot.

It does make sense for scum!UT who is scared his nuke will be controlled. He can't just nuke anyone he likes, he'd probably get used as some kind of method to cause a scorched earth endgame. SpyreX even made several attempts earlier on. So I think there's scum motivation there.

If 1, it's still scummy. If he doesn't know he can't stop MoI, as a townie, it seems more like UT to get his last licks than to be thinking survivalist. That was a pure "I need to live through this" move by UT, so again, scum motivation.

I assumed. It says it can't be prevented and my role prevents nukes. Additionally, I asked Andrius a question earlier in the game about how it would look if a nuke was stopped, and whether it would specifically state which role did it, and he told me beyond situations where it can be only one role, they would look the same.

(i.e: Defensive mode Silo looks the same as Fallout Shelter.)

So I assume they also work the same.

Also I think scum's win % was higher if they lynch town, kill MoI and have MoI nuke GreyICE from orbit. Sure they need to dodge a nightkill from the SK, but the SK couldn't shoot for scum that night anyway so...

Like let's assume that you're town Vi, and that scum SpyreX or UT lynches you.

Goes into night and kills MoI. GreyICE kills me because he HAS to.

That leaves Nahdia, UT, SpyreX, GreyICE alive.

MoI recognizes instantly that SK needs to die for town to have any chance, nukes GreyICE.

GreyICE recognizes he's lost and is now kingmaker. He has a 2/3 shot of nuking town. Additionally, if it's SpyreX, SpyreX could just sabotage GreyICE if he wanted and play a normal lylo.

And if it's UT, even better. Put your silo in defense mode and at worst you play lylo.

Because it's a submarine nuke right? so no one knows who it's going to hit until it lands.

There is a difference between WIFOM plays scum might risk, and a preponderance of circumstantial evidence pointing to behaviour scum just wouldn't do.

Scum!LLD, the survivalist who fashions her game on being the anchor scum who carries, would never ask for that investigation, especially now that NAhdia has flipped town and is confirmed.

Scum!LLD MIGHT do something where she pretends not to know what Grey's role is, but she wouldn't aggressively be wrong about the role and then look completely terrible.

Scum!LLD might bus her partner in Cephrir and do that whole charade... but there was no wiggle room in what I did. Cephrir either had to abort or Mastin was going to live. The only thing that stopped it was GreyICE.

Then when Cephrir died I mostly dropped SpyreX.

My first scum game, and one of my first games PERIOD, was Brotherhood of the Wolf mafia.

Where I replaced in and conned Fate, Mina, SpyreX, AGM, UK and you out of a win and got AGM to hammer you in lylo.

I can name so many games where we are both in lylo together.
