Yea his statements are suspect but just because one is nervous doesn't automatically make them scum in my book. Hell if i had 3 votes I would be nervous too. I am wondering why you are so dead set and over zealously hunting SoW. To me that says a SK or a Scum, or it could just an excited townie, I dunno but I think we need to focus more on solid scumtells like Mac's semantics and dodging than we do what some otherwise townie seeming poster's reactions are to being bandwagoned.

I was just giving him the benefit of the doubt, is thinking *maybe* he could be a power role that was pro-town. I need to hear from him on that before he has my vote.

Certainly not defending him, just trying to be understanding. I know when you get a bad start how the littlest slip up can landslide into a big problem. Not ruling him out by anymeans. But trying t give him a fair chance to 'redeem' himself if you will.

I am still pretty new to all this, so my approach and my style if you will arent solidified.

I don't know for sure that Mal isn't scum at this time, but based on above posts about what he has done so far he really hasn't done that much. The same could be said of others too, I am only defensive of others because I am not really needing to (or up to now) defend myself, and I just didn't see the scumtells.

Now I will admit Malth is on my radar now, but as said above I am still not convinced. (on anyone)

I still find SoW fishy, Yeah scum hunting is great and benefits us all, it just seems he is too zealous.

My main FoS is on Travis, and it is a weak one, He is semilurking and hasn't offered much to the table. He has jumped on the questioning of Mal, but hasn't presented any thing himself.

Yes, I have defended Malth, but like I said, I didn't see anything blaring 100% (or at least 60%) Summy. I figured he overreacted and people saw an opportunity.

Now if the roles were reversed and I were the one being investigated because i made some stupid move early on, I would appreciate someone at least abiding by the 'Innocent until proven guilty' thing, which was all I was trying to do, here with Malth.

However he hasn't given me anything positive to work with since I began defending him. Which makes me believe we should go ahead and lynch or at very least turn the heat on high.

As for the SoW thing as I said in 125, I had misgauged him, and I retracted my accusation/FoS.

I am pretty good with a Malth lynch here...just would like a post or two from others <like caf> before I make the final vote.

Travis, I find less scummy than Malth, but something doesn't set quite right with me about him, I cant put my finger on it, but its still in my mind.

Its a good case, worded well and very cohesive. Only one problem, I am not scum.

I can see a Pop/Mal alliance sure, why Pop is defending me I do not know, maybe he likes that I was defending his scum buddy (mal) and wants to keep me around longer than those who are leading the crusade against mal.

I agree however, Mal needs to post. The fact he is avoiding all this is a very telling thing. Under the guise that 'The mod is Gone' thats not satisfactory, Mal I am afraid all hope I had in you or at least my doubts that you weren't scum are fading rapidly.

My only question is this, (to the more experienced players as I am still new and haven't completed a full game to this point) don't scum normally avoid lurking? The thing that I find suspicious about Darla is not that she's aligned with Malth and therefore is Malth's scumbuddy, but that it seems like most of her actions in this game are defending. She's defended, or at least praised, malthusis, myself and Mac, the last two after voting and unvoting shortly afterwards. She defends more than she attacks, and when she attacks it's weak. Defending is pretty much always good for scum:

1) If the player they're defending is town and that player gets lynched, it makes the defendee look better for defending the.
2) If the player they're defending is town and the defender gets lynched, it makes the defendee look scummy when they're actually town.
3)If the player they're defending is scum, it supports their scum buddy (although it would cause problems if either of them were to be lynched)

Also, defending many people could be used to make it look less suspicious when they do defend their partner. So I think defending more than attacking is scummy. Still, I'm not sure that this alone is enough to vote Darla. I'm kind of having trouble getting a good handle on this game, to be honest.

Honestly with the exception of Mal, I haven't seen a lot of Scumtells from anyone. Nothing solid at least, an when I see cases try to form I defend them to see if they hold up. If they do, then I move on If not, I will keep at it.

Thats how I tick.. yeah its weird.. well I am weird.

With a 'Prosecution' if you will you need a 'defense' as well in order to get a coherent story, If you say something Looks scummy, My defense is more likely to get you to 'prove' it to me or see that its not as solid as you thought.

Its not that I don't suspect these people.. its more of a reverse psychology thing. Get the answer you want from a backwards route.

alright, well what I meant before and didn't d a good job of saying apparently, is that when I defend i don't necessarily believe the person isn't scummy, most of the time I am curious about the attack, I just found and *think* that having one person defending you can get you guard down low enough to slip *OR* It can completely disprove the case against you. Its unorthodox, yeah, its weird, yea, maybe its even illogical.. it s just how I naturally approach it.

If that makes me seem scummy well then.. maybe I Ought to reconsider my tactics.

As for the case on Mac from Tajo, I think Mac (well from other games) Is more experienced than he is letting on here, This was my first random vote as well as all the games I joined prior to this one were replacements.

I think to jump on someone SO quickly because a n00b made a mistake is very puzzling.

Mac voted for Malth with no real reason, and Malth flipped. Now all that to say in the situation Malth looked way more scummy BECAUSE of the "major FoS" but I think it was pretty understandable.

His reaction = He is scum is what I don't get, I think We should have FoS'd him and delved into his case. But then he disappeared which further made him look scumtastic.

What I don't understand Is why Mac hasn't looked in other places for Scum (well besides me for 'defending' but Malth wasn't posting and I didn't agree with the case against him at the time)

It looks like he found an easy target and grand-ized the case against him, coupled with HORRIBLE playing by malth, he made a sale.

Again I'm not saying Malth/OG AREN'T Scum, I'm Saying I don't think we have as much proof as mac is leading us to believe. Still Willing to hammer as we really don't need a no-lynch, but I had to put that out there.

Greasy Spot -- Too inactive to get a good reading

Travis/Elf -- Travis played it very safe and lurky which makes me suspect, didnt add much to day 1 I would like some more post from Elf to get a grip on their alignment. 50/50 town/scum

Mac -- Seems pretty townish, scum hunting ect. not totally sure on his methods but i think our L1 results speak for themselves. -- 80/20 Town/Scum

SoW -- Not too sure, does seem to be trying too hard and was inactive for the latter part of day 1 with no explination. 50/50 town/scum

Tajo - Possible scum, seemed to really be against the Malth/Smoke lynch, but then again he was mainly doubtful for the reasons I was, which were Mac's reaction tester, which we now know works quite well. 70/30 town/scum


Amor -- Seems probably the most scummy to me, Hostile, and readily jumps on newbies who make easy targets, I have some posts I wanna quote of his I will do so Momentarily. 30/70 town/scum

Goborage -- seems pretty genuinely town, was scum hunting and actually thought about the lynch on smoke before bandwagoning, 80/20 town/scum

Coheed - Added hardly anything useful to the hunt, bandwagoned and lurked a good bit, not getting very good town vibes from him 70/30 town/scum

Rice -- Also seems very pro-town to me, lots of scum hunting and general desire to see the scum caught. 80/20 scum/town

ok so Heres A rundown of My reasoning for my actions:

Random Vote Stage, (my first btw) Mal did his weird FoS after Mac's reaction tester.

Being that that was the only really scummy thing anyone had done so far, a lot of people jumped on it.

I Didn't see it as that scummy, or at least it seemed it was too early to tell.

now obviously I was wrong, but meh, live and learn.

anyways The constant building of an attack on him without him posting anymore (his lurking did concern me some, but I thought he was LA until someone mentioned him posting in other games, about that time is when I decided I would vote for him)

I read the busing thing and now it makes sense to me, why a scum would out their partner esp one like mal. I didn't think a scum would do that before because I thought the goal was to like, survive as a team. (I read some other things on the mafiawiki too which I hope t find helpful.)

That Said, I am still a bit iffy on Travis/Elf. The lurking from both parties and lack of helpful contributions really give me bad vibes.

Tajo -- I don't know honestly, I do feel like he freaked out when mal was scum and totally switched his position on me at seemingly a drop of a hat, but like I said above I get the votes for me. ( It was to be expected when Mal turned up scum after I defended him)

Anyways I would advise you guys look at what few posts there are from Travis/elf because they are lying under the radar atm.

Greasy - 45% town He plays in a very ballsy way for a scum but is not benefit to the town. Lurks, one liner posts, votes without a reason, and hammered before elf could post.

Amor - 50% town, I have wondered if this was a scum, avoiding the wagons, keeping low, and pledging psuedo votes that he doesn't have to follow through on. Im not really getting a strong read either way but its possible.

Populartajo - 50% town He flip flops a lot, but seems to be kinda newbish, not getting a very strong read here either.

Goborage - 70% town, Seems townie to me, very logical and scum hunting oriented.

I got my PM, and I PMd the Mod, while i was waiting I looked it up on Wiki and what I found out was confirmed, by mod.

and Amor, I fully entended to claim, but several people warned me against it, and I headed their warning. Now we have proof of a cop type role and people thinking it was me he investigated (probably was) and I figured now was as good a time as any to claim, and explain why Rice would have found me to be guilty.

The whole PM had more flavor to it, but the role itself is a Miller, I would quote it but I think I read somewhere in rules not too. (that could have been one of my other games too idr)

I think the role is luz personally but you take what you get. Also like I said before, obviously my role isn't a PR that's beneficiary to the town, and its not lylo, so my death wouldn't be as bad as losing any other PRs (mine isnt even really a PR) that could help the town win.

I wish I had more to offer as far as night results and stuff, but I don't, and what is breadcrumbing?

Macavenger -- I really get a Townie vibe from him, he seems to be the most level headed in the town, but A good question was brought up, why isn't he dead? Could he have some sort of NK immune role? is the Scum just avoiding Killing him to create WIFOM? or is he himself a Scum masquerading as Town?

Eval: Should be looked into, however NOT Lynch material for today.

Populartajo -- Flipflopped a great deal between day 1 and day 2, used the newbie excuse, then was offended whn I attributed it to him in my last evaluation, I really am on the fence with him, but I would think he was town more than scum.

Eval: Town, should not be lynched

SOW: Scum hunter extraordinare. Possibly the most townie of the townie players, I would not under any circumstance want to see him go. I had my doubts in day 1 but he has proven himself to be an indispensable asset to this town.

Eval: 90% town, No lynch

Greasy: Ah greasy, the most erradic, and scummy player in the game. Lurked through the majority of D1 & D2, confessed to his votes being only OMGU, Bandwagon and a Hammer, has done nothing por-town all game. Scum.

Eval: Lynch.

Amor: Can't get a great read on him, seems pretty neutral, but I would think Town, in this case.

Eval: No Lynch.

Coheed: Only other scum suspect for me, and its really pushing it. I will have to come back later to explain, as for now I must go,

Gobo; seems pretty town, I reread a lot of his posts and like SOW seems pretty level headed and doesn't jump to conclusions, if you read back the lump sum of his posting he is possibly one of the most neutral players as well.

Working up a Coheed analysis, may have to post it tomorrow depending on if I fall asleep or not.


As for you, I struggle with being a little annoyed with you but <with the exception of ABR aka 'Albie'> I try not to let my personal feelings towards a player affect how I read them. Even though I don't particularly like you, <for generally trying to lynch me :p> I just see you as too out there to be scum, and therefor, that is why.

I knew when this game started and I was a Miller it was gonna suck. LOL, and it got worse when I defended a newbie who came up scum. Talk about domino effect. Before you all lynch me, which it seems you are gonna do, I would like to say that I have no knowledge of anyone's alignment, and my comment about gobo being neutral was just that, he didn't seem one way or the other on anyone.

and Mac, your tireless defense of Greasy cos of his meta Is a bit worrisome. Unless you know his alignment, your defense of him, is pretty idiotic considering how scummy he is.
