Vote Battle Mage for Mayor
Vote: Xtoxm for lynch

Softclaiming this early? Really? Plus, Xtoxm is on my standard list of good D1 lynches.

I do not like that kind of play one bit.

I'm not shifting my mayor vote off myself unless I'm absolutely sure the person I'd be giving it to is Pro-Town.
This is a respectable stance, but not very realistic. You are unlikely to get that kind of assurity on day 1. Our best bet is to pick someone today, and make sure they are held accountable as much as possible. Odds on, unless we get consequtive scum lynches, the Mayor will probably change on a daily basis. Such is the way with Kingmaker style games.

BM
Well, I've never played a game with this mechanic, so I'll take your word for it. Personally, I prefer to keep my vote on me for as long as possible, since I'd rather like to use it well. Of course, you could all make it easy and vote me for mayor. :p
DI next.

Any further jester speculation will result in my being cross, possibly including making snide remarks. Nothing is /ever/ gained from Jester speculation. If he's a Jester, whoop de freak. His winning will not cause the end of the large theme.

dingoatemybaby wrote:How about this. Why don't we all list our top four methods for deciding how to vote for mayor and our top four method for deciding how to vote for a lynch. The top three from each will then go into a round robin style voting contest, where the winner of each round will be determined by a method to be determined through an three day elimination challenge. The winner of the round robin contest will be validated by two thirds of the most experienced players and a simple majority of less experienced players. If validated, people can then use these methods to decide who and how they are going to vote for. I propose we vote on my proposal.

Or, just for kicks, we could just
Vote for Mayor
for whoever we want to be mayor and
Vote:
for whoever we want to lynch.
This makes me lol.

Seriously, guys. If they're likely to vote against scum in your opinion, elect them. If you think they're scum, vote for them. I fail to see how that's difficult.

True, the doublevote could be an incentive for a newbie to participate more than they normally would. However, an experienced player like Fonz or BM is more likely to use the double vote wisely. I'd rather have a town double-voter that participates as much as they normally would than a scum double-voter that participates rather than lurks (lurking being a scumtell).

Yos is speaking much sense. As usual. Jester talk does nada except distract town from a lynch of someone who could hurt the town later. Xtoxm's refusal to state anything makes it clear in my mind he's not working to help the town out here. He could be just waiting for an 'I told you so', that seems like his MO, but I rather doubt it. He's stupid, not an asshole.

BM's still my top mayor choice. I'll swap to Yos if the next votecount shows him ahead of BM.

Hey sweet!

In that case, my vote stays. I don't see why Xtoxm-vanilla would claim unlynchable. It makes no sense at all unless he was trying to gamble and draw a NK, in which case he'd try to convince us not to vote him and call off the gambit at the end.

Absolutely! UROE in Random Mafia 3, I led an attack on him, lynching D1 based on this tell. It also caught my scumpartner, Seraphim in Bleach Mafia when I brought it up there (though I brought it up on a townie, to be fair).

The basic premise behind it is that it gains nothing for town by being said, and has a chance of outting power roles.

Are you still talking about a player that reacts to the outcome of a lynch or night (ie: cheering at a dead scum or feeling remorse over a dead town)? Was Random Mafia 3 a night start, because otherwise how would someone commit that tell?

Is BM really the scummiest person in this situation? I would think that given all the talk D1 of two votes possibly placing greater scrutiny on scum, wouldn't it follow that a player with no vote will experience less scrutiny?

Therefore, any player who deprives themselves of their own vote, regardless of whether or not it looks like an accident, is looking pretty scummy to me. It just seems like an excuse to lurk and shirk (hey, that's kind of catchy) responsibility for a day.

so you're saying you effectively could only make 1 NK before you were the last man in your scumteam, and were unable to make your top choice NK?

Actually, I arranged it so the scum wouldn't be able to kill anyone at all, and especally not me, without giving themselves away. And, espeally, I made sure Gorrad, who was a jailkeeper and who I I suspected, wouldn't be able to do anything at all except jailkeep me, since I had announced in thread I would attempt to vig kill him every night. Breaking smalltown games is fun.

Why is Zwet the play? Purely by virtue of being Zwet?

Zwet is a constant scummy vibe. No matter what. My policy towards him is simple:
If he dies and is scum: Yay! Dead scum.
If he dies and is town: Yay! Dead zwet.

Zwet, so you know, I hold you as a person with the utmost respect. It's you as a player I want to kill.

...Have you ever actually /played/ with Zwet before? He is one of the single worst players I've ever seen. Blackberry is the worst, but Zwet comes close. I didn't mention that policy earlier because there were better people to kill and lynching Zwet hadn't really come up, so I had no real reason to say it.

Simple. Zwet is, by definition, an easy lynch. He could be playing like a pro and have nailed three scum in a row and STILL be lynched for virtue of being himself.

Vote for Executioner: Battle Mage

Has seemed town to me for a good while, and if he's an executioner and dies, he'll be out of the game all the sooner, which is a good deal for him.

Back from V/LA.

I'm vanilla. I always lurk when I'm vanilla, and the whole you-don't-post-for-a-day sure as hell didn't help. It, in fact, hurt. Simply put, the vanilla and the lackaday screwed me over motivation-wise.

As scum and PR, I have an active interest in the game and am MUCH more likely to post.

Hmm, well, let's see. I'm playing a game, and I'm really gung-ho about it, excited about the Mayor idea, and really into it D1. Then the mod up and drops me for a day. I become unable to do a THING for a hell of a long time. I completely lose interest. Then, suddenly, I'm back IN the game and expected to do a huge reread of what I missed?

Sorry, not my bag. I'm vanilla, and therefore have NO vested interest in that as I'm basically a redshirt. Sure, I can distract the monster long enough for Kirk to blast him, but other than lynching? I'm useless.

So I coast. I look for good people to lynch, do the occasional wagon, and am utterly confused by this game y'all keep referencing which apparently has all the roles. WTF is the piper anyhow? Some kind of cult?

Woah hey, I forgot that Dramonic is alive. He's scum. Lynch him when I die. Yos probably as well.

Yos, remember the last game where you were sure I was scum?

Wait. That was Dr. Horrible. BAD EXAMPLE!

This game has thrown me several curveballs that have made me uninterested in it. Personal pride and first-hand knowledge of the mod's PoV are all that have stopped me asking for replacement. I deeply apologize. However, if not lynched you probably can't expect better from me, so you should probably just go ahead and finish me off.

Thanks, Starbuck.

I remember really not liking Yos D1, Mike. It's been a good while, though. I suppose I could try and dig up some quotes....
