@VP Baltar, Post 20: I understand you now, the way you worded it threw me a little.

Not reading the rules properly sounds like a good place to start.

Hurricanrana: Don

Poor form, Mr Johnson.

I won't Unvote in this game, even though it's polite to do so in other games whether necessary or not.
It doesn't seem right to undo a russian leg drop once it has been performed!

Hambargarz, I Lol'd at your suggestions about my being diplomatic.
Simply watching and poiting out minor errors and such.

Does anyone have any experience playing with Don Johnson?
What I mean by that is, is he usually this... pointless?
If we're voting people for being wishy washy, I'd think he's a much better candidate than Archon.

Moving away from the wishy washy bit, Archon, you're saying that your plan would only benefit mafia.
One reason why I shouldn't throw my vote in and kill you off now?

Don't worry, we have three days to go so I won't place a vote towards finishing the Day just yet, it was more of a figure of speech or whatever you want to call it.
I'd like to hear his reasoning about why we should keep someone around who stated himself that his plans only benefit the mafia.
After rereads to try and see if perhaps he just worded himself badly, it still isn't looking any better.

I'd like to know why VP and Don both seem to be softclaiming the same guy, as pointed out by Kise aswell.

I noticed VPs comment earlier in the game and thought I had an idea who he was, but with Dons new softclaim, it leaves me wondering.

If they are both claiming the same person, that's where we should be looking.

VP, DJ, care to shed any light on the matter for us?

Kreriov, about the softclaiming.

VP Baltar, Post 52, typed BROTHER at the end of his post, all in capitals and such, yelling it out as only one other wrestler ever did that I can think of, that being Hulk Hogan.

Don Johnson, Post 89, mentioned the many hulkmaniacs.

VP has said this wasn't the case, and Don hasn't said anything much at all, but it looks like he has a posting restriction to deal with, so that somewhat clears him from being pointless.
However, if it carries on this way the entire game, he's dead weight.

About Archons claim. I'm at work so the name means nothing to mer, I can't read up on it or anything, however, the claimed role/alliance sounds similar to my own, so... will post when i get home

Alright, I'm home. Sorry if my last post seemed a tad rushed, I had customers right next to me asking for assistance, so I had to cut it short.

VP, I'm not speculating, it seemed to me like two people were softclaiming the same person, that's something I'd rather get sorted out from the get go.

According to the Sample PM, there is a possibility of Fake RCs floating around, but I believe Archons claim, and I'll put his earlier statements about trying out plans that benefit the mafia down to a brainfart on his part.
Ricky Steamboat seems to have been a pretty big deal back in the day.

I'm not sure on who I'd favour for a lynch right now, Locke Lamora vaguely sticks out for not adding much but taking the easy option and jumping onto the Archon wagon, even parroting Hambargarz reasoning for the vote a few pages back.

A jobber is a wrestler who loses matches, thus doing his job, Kreriov.

I don't want to lynch Archon.

I'm favouring Locke, I'm not really feeling a lynch on massive.
Time will tell how useful or useless Don and his supposed posting restrictions are.

My reason for voting Locke? Nothing to do with posting patterns, I'm in the same timezone as he is, so that's a weak ass excuse to give him a lurker pass, I don't expect one.
The last time he said anything slightly confrontational or to pick a side was a direct copy of Hambargarz vote on Archon, the easy option, even copying the
wishy washy
reason Hambargarz said.

I strongly agree with this Jobber = Vanilla theory.

These votes on Hambargarz are weak as hell.

Of course scum are opportunistic, is that your reason, Don?

DDD, a lynch gives us more to work with than a no lynch, this is COMMON KNOWLEDGE in most cases, so why are you questioning his logic about voting Archon for lynch if it comes down to it?

Locke, I did post why I was looking at you.
Someone else didn't see it, so I clarified, but the reasons are posted.
You're parroting other people again.

Not feeling it, like I said.

I see better options around than a guy being voted after throwing a hissy fit about people being voted for rule infractions rather than for being scummy, there are better lynches.

You for example, I would lynch before massive.

LL: Yes, I put it down to a brainfart on his part because I found his claim to be believable. What doesn't make sense about that? It's pretty straight forward.

Alright, with the deadline looming here I see only one option.
We can learn from an Archon lynch, remove some WIFOM and speculation about roles from the game if he flips town, and the obvious if he flips scum, so even though there is reasonable doubt in my mind,

I think today it is, yes.
I have put myself on the line and backed up someone in a game before who I thought was town on Day 1, and refused to vote, but there are too many doubts and too much speculation in this game that will only continue tomorrow if we go to a No Lynch, and I think the town will be in a stronger position tomorrow for it.

@LL, Post 240:

Pushing people on to Don Johnson? I think not.
If I was trying to push people I would have made a case and voted him, and not ended my post by threatening to vote Archon.

In 82, the part where I was
looking for reasons to excuse Archon and not finding them
, that's idiotic.
Are you advocating lynching people without allowing them to speak up?
In what game, ever, has that been the way of things?

In 118, the Roleclaim does sound similar to my own, I stand by what I said.

In 124, your accusations are just stupid. If I was scum, and everyone was voting for my partner, I'm not going to back him up.

You reek of OMGUS on me from yesterday, clutching at straws to make a case.

Favouring either Locke, or Don for taking any wagon going, for the lynch.

I said I had reason to believe his claim so steered away from voting for him, I was not trying to avoid anything and I have already said this, and have already said that I stand by what I said.

I'm sure you'll carry on with the
'This is how
I
read it'
bit though and continue to disregard what I have said, and the very simple and basic explanation to your
case
.

You're speculating on what I would do/am doing if I was scum, or even, you seem to be reading what you want in to things and then pinning me as scum before I even speak, even though the answer is right in front of you.

@Krer: A poor choice of words then perhaps. What I meant was how he threw his vote in without adding anything of his own, and copying Hamz reasoning. At the time it was what stuck out to me.

@LL: Archon was going to get lynched when I placed my vote, you can not question that. He had 5 votes, he was the main topic of discussion, the day was coming to an end, stating otherwise is blatantly denying the obvious.

What IS your point, exactly?
State it again please, because you're all over the place.

What has Post 124, where I say I believe the claim, which I later explained is because it sounds like my own, got to do with the post where I vote Archon, and I also explain then my reasons why I think voting him is better than not?
It's ALL there, ALL the things you are asking have already been answered, you have no
case
, if I could call it that.

There is nothing wrong with my response in 259, it is still perfectly relevant, it answers all of your questions that you insist on banging on about, and now you're not making any sense to me at all.

I told Archon I would vote him unless he had good reason for stating that his plans only benefited Mafia, before his claim.

After he claimed, the suspicions raised about his claim were some of the very same things I thought about myself when I received my own role.
I think at this point it should be obvious enough what my role is, so I thought about it from my point of view and decided to believe the claim, while openly stating that I knew there were probably Fake RCs in the game, so it was obvious from the outset that I did have some doubts in my mind, and I never denied this or went out on a limb to defend him.

Then when I placed my vote, my reasoning is stated very clearly as to why, the town would be better off after removing some WIFOM and speculation.

Sorry for the inactivity, I work for the tourist board, and it's summer.

The reasons people are looking at me seem to revolve mostly around the Archon lynch.
When I read my PM, I thought was that there was no way my character was a Jobber, this is why I strongly agreed that Jobber was the game term for vanilla townie.

When Archon claimed, these same reasons came into play, because the argument against him was that Ricky Steamboat was definately not a Jobber. As it turns out he WAS a Jobber, just not Town.
This is why I was inclined to believe his claim, but the questions about FCs and his plan that mainly helped scum were too strong, and I figured if he came up town I'd be safe if I had to claim later, and if he was scum, great.

I'm Bret the Hitman Hart, Babyface Jobber.

No. They can claim if they have heat on them, why would you want their name out in the open so that they can be killed off tonight leaving us minus one almost proven townie?

Bret Hart turned Heel in the late nineties, maybe into 2000.
For the longest part of his career he was a crowd favourite. I don't think anyone can dispute that.

My reasons are stated, and my inactivity has also been explained.
@DDD, what don't you like about my explanation, exactly?

Seems folk are decided to lynch me either way, the case against me was poor at best but people seemed to think it held some sort of weight because Locke kept going and going and going and going.
My reasons have been stated, if you have any questions feel free to ask, but i'll take a back seat until you're not stumbling blindly hoping to hit right with any wagon going. Hi Hambargarz.

Best of luck tomorrow town, you'll need it.

Investigation, target, whatever.

I don't believe Kreriov, I think he should get the Hambargarz treatment.

He stayed off his scumbuddies wagon, and leapt onto the Hambargarz wagon.

He voted for me first thing today in his very first post with no reasnoning, so I assume he was going off of yesterday when people were looking at me and saying I was suspicious, and yet he says he did not target me last night, he targetted someone else for some inane reason.

Bullshit!
