"Sorta. But either way, what choice do I have? I'm a goner. Before I pass, I do have one request though," whispered the Don.
"Anything, boss," spoke underling 2.
"I want you both... to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and get.... me a sugar cookie," spoke the Don.
"That's............... your request??" questioned both of the underlings increduously.
"Hahaha...

*cough cough cough*

I was only kidding. Don't you two watch Chappelle's Show?" smiled the Don.
Silence filled the room just then. Then, quietly, the Don passed away.
"Man. A great man just died today. A great man. We need to avenge him. Our last names are Bunny just like his. He was our blood. We need to avenge him!!" spoke underling 2.
"In his honor, let's take over this town," spoke underling 1.
"Good idea. Good idea," grinned underling 2.

Voting, Lynching, and Death

• • Votes should be cast using the following format –

  • Lynching will require a majority of votes. You may
    Vote: No Lynch
    if you decide that you do not want to lynch during the day. No Lynching will also require a majority of votes. Once the number of votes reaches the number required for a lynch to occur, that decision is final. Any subsequent unvotes will not be counted. You (everyone except the person who has been lynched) may feel free to converse during this period (called Twilight) until the thread is locked.
    
  • Important: If you get killed or are lynched, you are dead. You may not post anything afterwards. Not even a “Bah!” post. Srsly. Save it for post-game discussion.
    
  • At deadline, no majority = no lynch. Chyeah.

Activity

• • I expect everyone to post regularly. If I see that a player has not posted for longer than a 72 hour time period and the player has not notified me about this, I will prod said player. If the person fails to pick up his her/prod within 48 hours of the prod, that player will be replaced. If you are prodded more than three times, you will be replaced (negotiable). If you are prodded, you must respond to the prod in-thread.
    
  • Treat this game as a commitment and be courteous to your fellow players. I find that this is the best way for everyone to enjoy the game. Thanks. =)
    
  • Each day will automatically have a set deadline of three (3) weeks. In special circumstances, I may extend the deadline at the request of the players or my own discretion.

Ze Set-Up

This Newbie game is what is called "semi-open" and will be utilizing the F11 set-up. Your set-up could look like any one of the following:

• 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 1 Mafia Goon, 7 Normal Townies
  
• 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Cop, 1 Doctor, 5 Normal Townies
  
• 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Cop, 6 Normal Townies
  
• 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Doctor, 6 Normal Townies

If either of the first two set-ups are being used and the situation occurs where the Mafia Goon is lynched first, the Mafia Roleblocker will still be able to submit both night kills and roleblocks (roleblocking is a function of the Roleblocker; night kills are a function of the scum team as a whole).

• You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

Cop:

You are the local law enforcement and can tell the good guys from the bad.

• Each NIGHT, you may send the moderator a PM with your choice of player that you want to investigate.
  
• The Moderator will inform you as to that person’s guilt or innocence.
  
• At no time may you privately communicate with any other player.
  
• In a Newbie game, you will always get a correct result (no sanity issues).
  
• You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

Doctor:

You are the local physician and can protect people from harm.

• Each NIGHT, you may send the moderator a PM with your choice of player that you want to protect.
  
• If someone attempts to kill that player during the Night, they will be spared.
  
• You may not protect yourself.
  
• At no time may you privately communicate with any other player.
  
• In a Newbie game, your protection target will always live through the night (no quacks).
  
• You win when all the Mafia players are gone, whether you survive to the end or not.

Driven by the same level of anger and determination that the Bunny Mafia underlings developed over the death of their Don, they set out to kill the members of this very town one by one by one. Their first victim was an interesting fellow -- he started out looking very much like sxizzor then he gradually began to look like foilist13 but by the end of the Night, he looked exactly like... YamiJoey. YamiJoey's body looked terrible after being killed. Apparently the members of the Bunny Mafia family wouldn't just stab or shoot their victims like normal mafia members would do. Nope. Not these guys. They were waaaaaaaayyy too sophisticated for that. The Bunny Mafia family would infect their victims with a highly virulent form of myxomatosis that would normally only affect rabbits but was, in its current form, able to infect and kill humans. YamiJoey's body had numerous pox-like tumors along his skin and foam leaking out of his mouth. A quick check of his pulse revealed he was almost certainly dead.

It was an unsettling sight to see YamiJoey sprawled on the ground with those pox-like lesions all over his body. But maybe, just maybe, that sight provided just the right amount of motivation for you to want to rid this town of the filth that was the Bunny Mafia family. After not being able to make a decision yesterday, you all are able to finally come to a decision today -- you decide that this Sposh guy looks shady enough and has done shady enough things to be a mafioso.

"But but but... I'm confused!!" shouted Sposh. "I didn't do anything!"

Unfortunately for Sposh, his whims weren't met with hesitance when his body was dragged up to the gallows. A few twitches of the body later and Sposh was hanging dead... in a noose. A swift search of his wallet produced his identification card.

*gasp* He really was telling the truth about his identity!

It is now Night 2. Please submit any and all Night actions to me within 72 hours from the timestamp of this post. Day 3 will begin on Monday, November 16th at 3 P.M. EST.

Things were looking a bit grim for the town. Two townies had died, and the paranoia of new deaths was making everyone restless. Another night passed and another death occurred at the hands of the Bunny Mafia family. Who was it this time, you ask?

Well, the person's face was so badly pox-marked that it was a bit hard to decipher his identity. When you all looked a bit closer, you realized it was MichelSableheart who was the latest victim of those vicious Bunny Mafiaosos. MichelSableheart's body was turned upside down and was tied against a fence post. And again the pox-like tumors of myxomatosis along with the foaming mouth was enough to make even the strongest of stomachs want to keel over after being overwhelmed with nausea. A quick check of his pulse revealed that he was also dead.

Maybe it was the shape-shifting that gave SaintKerrigan away -- when put under a heavy spotlight, a Jase-looking character became a SaintKerrigan-looking character in the blink of an eye. In any case, SaintKerrigan was placed up onto the noose with the hopes that he was indeed one of the scums. You all go off to bed last night feeling triumphant. After all, you finally lynched one of the Bunny mafiates and maybe, just maybe, the remaining mafiate would just pack up and leave after seeing the pain that SaintKerrigan went through. When you rush to the town square to assess any damage, you realize that something definitely was wrong around there. And on the far side of the square, you notice Nachomamma8 lying flat on the ground with his arms and legs outstretched on either side of his body. The pox-like lesions and foaming of the mouth was also seen on his body.

charter, feeling very ashamed of calling Nachomamma8 and Haylen the scumz, didn't really have much to say the following days. He let out a few shouts claiming that it just HAD to be Netopalis, but his shouts were ignored as he was brought to the noose. As Haylen and Netopalis searched through charter's pockets to find some kind of identification as to who he was, Vel-Rahn Koon swiftly bit into both of their necks infecting them with myxomatosis.

As they both stood clutching their necks realizing what had just happened, they uttered their last words: "OMG, it really WAS VRK...."

VRK smiled happily realizing that he was the last man or uh, bunny standing.

I was taking notes on this game up until Day 3. I'll post them here:

Day 1 in a nutshell: Inactivity, inactivity, inactivity.

Multiple players guilty of it. StarOfTheShow, TheBeanBurrito, and Haylen (StarOfTheShow replacement) all remained fairly inactive throughout Day 1. MichelSableheart was also somewhat guilty of this early on, but his activity picked up a bit more in the week approaching deadline. Might be a little too late, though. Jase-scum is doing a nice job of blending in and keeping his activity levels up. broncofaninmd is being allowed to lurk because the two town lurkers are providing a nice hiding ground for him. Inactivity causes active people to begin attacking one another (see foilist and Nachomamma) and blam, a no lynch.

The No Lynch was simply inexcusable. I don't get why Haylen unvoted and seemed to dislike Sposh's L-1 vote considering the rapid approach of the D1 deadline.

Day 2 was better for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which was the fact that the town finally lynched someone. The addition of Netopalis and Vel-Rahn Koon seemed to help the game come more alive since they both replaced relatively quiet players. Unfortunately for the town, the majority of the activity from Day 2 seemed to come about a week before the deadline, which made it more difficult to possibly switch to a brand new person other than Sposh or Haylen. The Sposh lynch was probably better than the Haylen lynch for the reasons given by Nachomamma8. For the record, I did speak with VRK a bit about the post that a bunch of players seemed to have an issue with.

Day 3 was decent for the town. Haylen came alive with pretty good analysis and came to the correct conclusion that VRK and Jase were the scum. It was interesting to see that it was primarily the town players who went back and did re-reads/analysis to try and figure people out while the scums seemed content to just give Haylen continued flak. I think the scums were hoping and expecting two bad votes placed by town to cause a quicklynch, but the town didn’t do that and instead decided to discuss and then no lynch. Should be interesting to see what happens during the Night.

Overall, I thought this game was a good teaching game. You guys learned the hard way why no lynches on Day 1 are bad for the town. You guys also should have learned why inactivity can hurt the town too -- it lets scums get an easy pass and makes it difficult to separate actual scummy people from people who are just misunderstood townies.

Feel free to comment on each other's play. Since this was an all-vanilla game, I kinda lost track of the Roleblocker's Night actions. I think broncofaninmd submitted a roleblock on MichelSableheart on Night 1, VRK blocked Nachomamma8 on Nights 2 through 4, he blocked charter during Night 6, and I think he blocked Haylen on Night 5 but I'm not sure.

I was fully expecting to lose this game after Day 3, TBH. I think the 2nd round of replacements really shook things up.

Yeah, I think the whole dynamic of the game completely changed when charter and SK entered. It looked like Bwian was beginning to come around to the idea of a Jase/VRK scum team like everyone else seemed to already be doing. SK did a good job of somehow making the town forget that Jase and bronco/VRK had very little, if any, interactions all game.

When charter came in and voted you, I thought maybe the game would continue along the same lines Bwian left off but even that eventually changed too.

Well, I don't know if confirmation bias got the best of me, but I was pretty surprised that your analysis didn't include focusing on

Jase's

interactions with VRK/bronco. If you look at what was happening around the time Jase got replaced, it makes a lot of sense for a SaintKerrigan-scum to try and distance himself from VRK at his point of entrance since a lot of people were saying they had to be buddies with one another since they hadn't talked much about each other.
