Mini 964: Another Story - Over!

A long time ago in a universe far, far away, there was a peaceful island village called Yiclis. Everyone had a nice job, a good family, and was assured of their position in life; the children never misbehaved, and the teachers were actually paid well. It was a very happy, albeit very boring, place.

But they were naive.

They couldn't see the signs. The happiness... the peacefulness... their village's name being an anagram of Sicily...

And when the Mafia came in, all they had to defend themselves with was a length of rope.

You, the Townies, must work together to hang the Mafia before they can figure out how to kill you all and make it look like an accident!

You, the Mafia members (you know who you are), must work together to not get hanged by the townies!

These are the rules. Breaking them is inadvisable.
1. I demand bold votes. No bold = no vote.
2. Unvote first. It's not required, but it saves time.
3. No unvotes after you've lynched someone. Make sure to check whether you'll lynch someone BEFORE your vote, not after.

More specifically, Pie hired a fat guy to distract yabba and in the time it took Yabba to kill him, he'd lost his chance at the kill.

Not that it would've mattered if he'd been blocked, because he'd also targeted Thief.

My behind-the-scenes: I spent days 1 and 2 gearing up for a doctor fakeclaim; I was trying to act scumhunty yet submissive. My first post of day 2 (ISO 4) spells out "saved sandman" if you take the first letter of each sentence. I aborted the plan at the last minute because I was in a pretty good spot (I was feeling pretty good when Paltry and I were the consensus for last two to claim) and I thought my odds of losing the doctor-duel to Jalyn or getting myself offed by the SK outweighed the positive of having a power role claim to my name.

And that made me realize I forgot to ban cryptography. OHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

@Azelf: Who did Jalyn protect Night 2? I was hoping it was me as I was definitely worried about being killed.

At this point, I almost have to push massclaim or people will scream meta.

I like how I don't really have a reputation (that I know of).

I should've killed Paltry, bottom line.

Also, massclaim was anti-Town. If that wasn't a Doctor, the two kills would've almost assuredly wiped out all the Town's power. And considering how the scumhunting itself only nailed one scum, well... yeah.

Sure.

What I don't like is that it's a randomness game when the Mafia kill is in a forced rotation. Thief tracked on the basis that the least scummy would be chosen, something I found rather plausible no matter how many times I screamed Mafia Tracker. With that revelation though, his reasoning is pointless in retrospect.

Useful to know; perhaps I'll make the mafia choose in my next game.

I'm not quite certain what I meant about the whole "both kill and roleblock" thing, but the Roleblocker will perform both the kill and roleblock when it's his turn. Perhaps I'd been intending to just have the Goons kill when I wrote this?

I just remembered why I put that in the PM; it's very rare, but some mods rule that a Mafia Roleblocker who is the only player remaining can only kill or roleblock, not both.
