RULES

1. This is a closed setup, which means the only roles you will know in advance are your own and that of any other player I mention in your role PM. All other role information is secret, including how many players with a certain role exist and even if the role exists in the first place.
   
2. The preferred voting method is to put vote tags around the player's name, but I will still accept the old method of bolding the word "vote" followed by said player's name, e.g. VOTE: Hoopla or
   Vote: Hoopla
   . As long as I can tell to whom you are referring, spelling does not count and I will accept abbreviated or otherwise shortened forms of the name of the vote's recipient. Unvoting is not required, but is appreciated for my ease of moderation. You may also VOTE: No lynch.
   
3. A majority of votes is required for a lynch, even at deadline. Once a lynch has been decided, it is final and further votes and unvotes do not count for the current day. If deadline is reached with no player having enough votes for a lynch, the day ends in an automatic No Lynch.
   
4. Posting during twilight (the period of time between the lynching vote is cast and the mod scene) is acceptable for all living players, including the lynchee. Players may continue to talk during twilight as long as they follow all of the rules.
   
5. You may not post after you are declared dead, but I'll allow one "bah" post that doesn't contain any game-related content if you wish to make it.
   
6. You are not forced to like each other, but the fact that you badly want so and so offed does not give you the right to insult him or her. Please keep your hatred of people or groups thereof to yourself. Profanity is not in and of itself banned, but if it gets out of hand, it falls under this rule.
   
7. Do not hide text or otherwise hinder its readability by using spoiler tags, invisible or encrypted text, etc. You may, however, post in any color that can be easily read against the forum background other than
   blue
   .
   
8. Impersonating the moderator is prohibited.
   
9. Do not delete or edit any posts in this thread (unless you outrank me).
   
10. You are not allowed to discuss this game outside of the thread unless I tell you otherwise, nor are you allowed to discuss other ongoing games in this thread.
    
11. Do not quote or pretend to quote any private communication, either from me or from anyone else you are allowed to talk with at night. This includes your role PM. You are allowed to paraphrase, but you are not allowed to plagiarize. If in doubt as to your paraphrase's legality, PM me with the wording you want to use.
    
12. Claiming to be mafia with someone else is prohibited.
    
13. I will issue a prod to any player that does not post for 72 hours without notifying me of his or her absence. If you are prodded, you will have 48 hours from the time of submission to post in thread. Failure to do so may result in replacement. The third prod may result in replacement.
    
14. Deadlines for Day is 3 weeks, Night shall last 72 hours.
    
15. The fastest and preferred way to get ahold of me is by PM'ing me, but you may also communicate to me in thread if it is day or twilight and you are still alive. To do so, bold "Mod:" followed by what you want to tell me, as in

Stels! He has got to be the one. Surely, after such a long and heated discussion, the group decides that it is time for him to take his leave.
"Hey! I protest! I'm just here to provide the music.", he says in disbelief.

I guess it could be those same people who offed Percy and Empking... hmm, I wonder where did their bodies go? Never mind. I'd make a police report, but I don't think that will do much good in a place without a police station...

You know one thing about licorice is that it tends to get stuck in your teeth. Still yummy, depending on the flavour and all but really, those yummies are not cheap in certain parts of the world. Candy and fruit juice eaten together can result in a sugar high, making you feel sleepy for the rest of the day and generally decrease productivity. So, either be prepared to be asleep on the job or do so only on weekends. This has been general advice that you may or may not agree with, and also may or may find useful.

Anyway, it was a rather uneventful Night. Everyone's here.

After getting everyone one back inside the Candy Zoo, we discovered that crazypianist1116 and mb53 weren't evil people after all (I did tell you guys that, specifically!) All they wanted to do was bake birthday cake. Well, it was mainly crazypianist1116 the wizard lizard. mb53 the school of licorice fish liked the idea, and immediately agreed to help when approached during the night before this whole "murders" took place. And where does Hoppster the Zoo Visitor come into the picture? Well, he just happened to stumble across a scrap of paper containing some ingredients of a cake, and it was covered with lemons, limes and licorice. He traced the stuff, found the two, and wanted in on this surprise birthday cake! Yummy!

And where did those people disappear to during the Nights? Well, that's really simple. They were merely enlisted into helping out with the surprise birthday cake for the rest. It was all fun and games; nobody died and we all get some cake to eat after all.

Miscellaneous:

For Mafia to achieve their alternate win condition (difficult), they need all 3 Town PRs dead and 3 out of 4 Vanilla Townies dead (total 6 dead) and either Goon alive, unless they recruit the Traitor, in which case any of the Mafia alive would suffice.

Traitor loses if alternate win condition is achieved without getting recruitment. (This would require 3 prefect mislynches and 3 perfect kills into LyLo!)
Traitor also loses when dead.

Firstly, I'd like to thank my reviewers, Empking and Percy for giving their thoughts and opinions on the setup. It underwent some changes from the original, which had a Mafia Ninja and there was an idea for a pair of mason-ish Tracker and Watcher combination. The potential for me to go crazy on the power roles for this game was immense, but at the end of the day I've decided to simplify everything to have more vanilla (hence, the 'you are still playing Mafia' game specific note at no.2). Yes, this game was based off Rainbow Robot Unicorn

Secondly, I'd like to thank all players for participating and also the replacements. Both Town are Mafia played well, although I felt that the Day 1 play had a little too much setup speculation in Town's part, causing a distraction. Mafia had the upper hand early game, and honestly at one point I thought they would make a clean sweep with a perfect game. After discussion had stagnated, Town lynched a lurker which so happens to be Mafia-aligned. Did Town just luck out? Possibly. The next turning point was Zyrconium being successful in Watching Amrun's killer, mb53. Then Hoppster didn't submit a Night Action N4 (but even if he did, and choose to to NK Pine, he would have been seen by Zyrconium who targeted Pine N4). He was also neighbourized by Hazard with a Glove, further complicating his fakeclaim strategy. The rest is history.

Thirdly, I'd like to apologize if I had made errors in modding. I think there were no major problems, apart from the delayed Endgame (I had no desktop access, posting endgame stuff on a mobile is treacherous and should be declared a crime) but I think a little wait is okay

The alternate mechanic was bad. It didn't involve other people except the mafia.

If it were to involve Town, the complexity level of the game increases multiple fold. I didn't want to mod 'complex', so yeah it was more of a personal choice.

Charlie, did the N1 no-kill result from the Mafia targeting my predecessor?

No. Hoppster was recruited N1, given the scum QT + alternate win condition.

Perhaps a different theme altogether, with a similar mechanic. Now that I've modded 'simple', if I were to continue my modding career it would only be logical to up my game to 'complex'. But no plans to do so in the near future

Zyrconium played well as a Town PR.
Pine did great for a replacement.
Hoppster managing to fool almost all of Town early game and successfully played the most difficult role of the game was great.
Both crazypianist1116 and mb53 opted for the lurking strategy, which sadly, was a failure (I thought it would work, just standing by the sidelines and watch Town self destruct. Sounds like fun.)
vezokpiraka should be gifted a book entitled 'How to be more of an asset and less of a liability' for his next scumday.
