VOTE: Voidedmafia for being rendered null and void.

And no color claiming. That gives scum info as to the color breakdown.

Packbat's speculation stands out, but I can't pinpoint why and I'm having as much trouble deciding his alignment as anybody else's besides my own.

I think I missed where the townslip actually IS. -_-

What post is it in, again?

It's unclear to me, but HotDogs denies he means your post. That's something I need to inquire about. (While I'm on him,
major HoS
for the sloppy hammer leading to a quicklynch. I was hoping to get my random vote off VM before he was lynched.)

Lieskyrie and hiphop come off to me as on opposing alignments. While I don't like Leiskyrie's handling of hiphop's inquiry as to why she voted Voidedmafia, hiphop himself is suspicious for moving from Leis to VM so easily. His case on him is... what again? Flailing?

That's not the best thing to be dwelling on, Packbat. VOTE: Packbat.

I seriously suspect given the speed of the wagon that VoidedMafia was bussed. Not too many people were given the opportunity to post a lot yesterday, so I'm not concerned about the number of posts by anybody yet. Leiskyrie and hiphop still stand out, but on reread Leiskyrie doesn't look
THAT
incriminating and hiphop has generally been helpful overall.

Your #113 comes off as flailing, especially the first part. The standouts are that you respond to xvart's vote on you with WIFOM, attempt a meta defense on Rhinocke, and refuse to address Glass.

The problem is that a smart player will play as close as possible to his or her town meta as scum. The most important thing to consider, then, is motivation.

From what I understand, it works the other way around. By "us", I mean the town, and because "us" by definition includes the person talking my interests are part of the town's. Acting on my interests and my interests alone would set off alarm bells. Your wires are crossed.

And yes, I do have a case on you. I thought you were pretty decent town. After my vote on Packbat, the wagon on you started, and you have been responding very poorly to the pressure from said wagon. You are now throwing crap to see what sticks. Give me a very good reason to go back to my town read on you.

I actually know what OMGUS'ing is. Calling people scum because they are calling you scum. I don't consider the vote all that necessary.

hiphop wrote:3. Kind of hard not vote someone who is not voting me, when 1. they are the only one's posting, 2. all scum are probably already on my wagon. *cough* Hiplop, coug *cough*

Yes. This is all a conspiracy to get rid of you just because we hate you

hiphop wrote:4. I actually believe glass and pack are confused townies.

Explain.

hiphop wrote:5. You don't have a case.

Here's a hint about getting people to reconsider lynching you: When they give a reason, you do not deny that they have a case. Defend against what they accuse you of or explain how their case is weak. It's your choice, but putting yourself in a state of denial is a good way to dig your grave.

hiphop wrote:Oh wait, motivation got it.

That's right, Sherlocke. And here's the scum motivation behind what you're doing: It is more important to you that you live. Do I care if I die? This is the absolute last game I should be caring if I die. The people of my color will be getting powers if and when I die. Very useful ones, too.

Would you like to supply us with more reasons why you should die?

I'm looking more at "confused". I still have this leftover off feeling about Packbat because he started with speculation about the lack of kills, but he is not the biggest concern. Ghostlin reads town.

I've already explained that I have a looser definition of OMGUS, hiphop. All I'm getting anymore is "Wah, wah, wah, I don't like having a wagon on me; shame on all of you." I honestly don't know why I'm wasting my time anymore.

OK, now that hiphop is clearly off in La La Land, let's focus on making sure Ghostlin gets his reads out. We want as much of what he thinks is scum and why as we can get out of him. My wet dream is that he has the scum team pegged and posts enough info for us to seal the game, but the operative word is "dream".

Why the fishing? It's clear in the sample role PM that powers get progressively stronger, so I see little pro-town motivation in asking that question.

Glass wrote:You think that hotdog is scum for accidentally hammering scum day 1? That is the nullest tell ever. And you say it is the only good read and then you switch to xvart for "fishing"? lol.

Read the string of posts again. I didn't see the last page.

xvart wrote:I understand how the roles work; but you seemed acutely aware of the significance of what powers would be distributed. I was trying to dig out if you just bumbled a soft claim as scum for some town cred or whatnot. And yes, it is clear in the sample role PM that powers get progressively stronger, as it also says in my role PM. But what I really want to know is what you meant by "very useful" powers being gained by your alleged like colored drops. FTR, I suppose I did overbold, and only the last sentence should have been bolded; but I can hardly see the "fishing" claim.

You ask me what I mean by "very useful" powers, then refute that you are rolefishing? That's a laugh.

xvart wrote:The fact that you supported hiphop, however briefly, at the beginning of the day seemed like a failed distance attempt and I didn't want to give scumhiphop any ammo on you to distract from his lynch.

That I had a brief town read on hiphop (which, for the record, is not distancing) is an unfortunate bad mark on me, but the way he reacted to the wagon made it clear that I couldn't support a town read on him anymore.

Glass, why did you bother asking him? The only way his statement makes any sense is if he was poisoned, and since Ghostlin acted in a manner that seemed to indicate that he did not know who poisoned him he must prove that I had a reason to poison him last night. Good luck with that when he's posted very little content.

The same applies to you hiding it. It's very simple: If you're telling the truth, you have to be red or yellow. If your claimed color and action do not match the real PM, you are confirmed scum. I don't see how I'm being unreasonable.

Meransiel cannot be counterclaimed as long as he does not claim what he did to me today. By making him reveal color and action, he must take that risk.

If I'm not the color he claims to be, then I don't. It is not important that
I
know what the real PM for that color looks like. Anybody that can check the color PM in question will do.

It is simply what makes the best sense to me, especially given the wording of the PM. If I am in error, then the roles are almost certainly of similar strength and a disproportionately strong or weak claimed role compared to what the other people got will still screw Meransiel.

Read my posts again. I did not claim to be anything. I only stated that I do not necessarily have to be the person that verifies his claim. I already believe that it is false since he claimed to have a day action, which seems too strong to be a power given out first.

I am not claiming before Meransiel. End of discussion.

Had I gotten ahead of myself? It's very possible that I did. However, the only way I see a power being useless if it is passive, which makes little sense from the sample, or if it is a bastard mod game, for which there is no evidence.

As for using the plural term "powers" and then claiming to think that the remaining players of the two colors that have a player down have the same power, I was using the term "powers" in a collective sense. For example, one doctor power + one doctor power = two doctor powers.

It is obvious from my posts that I have no day ability and I don't think anybody else does either.

The reason I didn't want to claim is because I didn't want to hand over information my power to fakeclaiming scum. Meransiel, claim or no claim, was confirmed scum in my mind. The less I told him about my color, I thought, the better.

As crazy as this sounds, I am going to UNVOTE: Meransiel. Still puzzled about there being a day action, but I think it is sufficiently weak to make sense.

I'm also with Leiskyrie here. The other reds should not claim.

The possibility exists, yes.

You're suggesting we go on an active lurker hunt while your vote sits there idle? If we're really that dry on leads, then put your foot where your mouth is.

Hence why I said you were advocating an "active" lurker hunt. If you're barely posting, constantly prod-dodging, etc. and not really posting any content when you do, then you are active lurking. There is a difference.

Glass wrote:"Yet" is the operative word here. Are you worried about anyone's number of posts now? If you are going to attack someone for wanting to lynch lurkers you have some explaining to do regarding this post.
What has jedo done besides suggest we lynch a lurker SC?

You oversimplified my vote reason. I attacked Jedo the Jedi for advocating an active lurker lynch when he wasn't voting an active lurker. Long story short, his foot wasn't where his mouth was. Going after active lurkers is an acceptable strategy at this point.

Glass wrote:SC attacking Mers (Yes, I know it is meran but mers just rolls off the tongue easier) for absolutely no reason. Mers said that he had role info that might make SC guilty, and SC, instead of acting like a townie and saying his role (which could have made it a potential 1v1), flips shit around and refuses to claim. Again without any scumhunting, he just says that "DAYPOWER IS TOO OVERPOWERED TO HAVE ALREADY RAGERAGERAGE" without even knowing what his power was.
What did you think his power was, SC?

What makes you think I cared what Meransiel's power was when I clearly thought he was making it up?

Glass wrote:So now you are not only saying that hotdog is scummy for lurking (which you just attacked jedo for),

I did not attack Jedo the Jedi for himself doing any sort of lurking.

Glass wrote:but you are threatening to put your vote onto mers for having (in your opinion) a poor read on someone? Oh jeez.

Give me a reason to consider HotDogs town. Seriously. My question regarding the Day 1 hammer went unanswered and he's still being sloppy with his vote.

In fact, while it's on my mind, UNVOTE: Jedo the Jedi and VOTE: HotDogs.

HotDogs wrote:It now appears that Stranger Coug is ignoring all logic to tunnel onto me in the thickheaded pursuit to make people believe that I am aligned to the colorless faction. If the player who's name is Jedo the Jedi receives enough votes to be lynched and that lynch does not end the game then I will vote for Stranger Coug. I may decide not to vote Stranger Coug if he were to start using his brain but I do not predict that he would do such a thing.

You can 1.) cut the insults and post/direct me to your case on VoidedMafia and 2.) post more in general.

xvart wrote:You refute my counterargument that I wasn't rolefishing as laughable (242), so you clearly believe that I was actually rolefishing and therefore you should still think I am scum regardless of your opinion of Meransiel; but you choose to vote for Jedo (332) under the pretext of him suggesting active lurker hunting.

If people would please stop factoring out Jedo the Jedi's lack of a vote in this.

xvart wrote:Then you voted HotDogs under the pretext of them not being town enough (354). You provided weak (or no) justification for them being scum; but rather them not being town enough?

See above.

xvart wrote:Your switch vote on Meransiel from your vote on me is strange since you explicitly stated that he was tied to me. In most cases you should have been voting me regardless of your opinion on Meransiel since you suggested he was protecting me, then upon my alleged scum flip you would follow up with Meransiel. Under the circumstances, and if you were town, it would be justifiable since someone was claiming information on you being scum; but even considering that you should have immediately returned your vote to me since Meransiel's claim has nothing to do with my scum level. Since you didn't return your vote to me and instead went to Jedo for active lurking hunting it is obvious that you didn't really believe I was scum to begin with.

Opinions change, xvart. If I establish that you and Meransiel are connected, then decide that Meransiel isn't scum, then I fail to see what's wrong with deciding you aren't scum either.

I'm not claiming my power as it has obviously gone unused and claiming will give scum ideas as to what red has.

Quoted for @#$%ing truth. Yes, there are things I could have done differently (since you don't arbitrarily lynch people, I must have done something to get me lynched, and I knew something was up when I found out town wasn't told their powers in advance unlike scum), and yes, it could be altered to help scum out with mid-game claims, but still, give me a good reason not to beat Meransiel to a pulp with a sledgehammer.
