Incorporate the number "1" into your response for the former, and the number "2" for the latter. The second number will be what X is, so you should incorporate that into your answer as well. If you are not allowed to break restriction ever, use the number "3".

Or is that still RVS? (That's one of the reasons why I hate RVS by the way -- I don't understand when it ends.)

I also don't understand Vi's posts. What is it about fire and ice he -- she? -- (curse you and your lack of gender selection!) doesn't like? Is Vi really so anti-Pat Benatar? Or anti-Robert Frost?

Also why was I lumped with 4nxi3ty, and Sathorsis?

Although I do like the RP with the theme, and am more than willing to get into handcuffs and lock myself in an underwater box and disappear...

They even used the same "twisting our words" argument in that game. It's poppycock frankly.

This is what has happened in this game and it is also what happened in Pie E7 mark II. That will provide meta for three players in this game cause Vi is also in there. But it starts from post six where we start to pressure VP right away and if you read though you'll see how quick things get messy.

I'm not interested in playing that all over again. The game got bogged down and everyone got all shitty and crabby (har har) but yes.

When I had posted this, it seemed he was just imitating Vi, and I am pretty sure Vi is town. Since he is imitating Vi's PR, and Vi is town, he would be town too I guess. Although the post where he mentions a boss does seem a little odd.

Just from that my vote stays.

I've seen the sotty and ace wagon. I find neither more scummy than GNR.
Their lynches aren't going to be informative either because:
1. sotty wagon has been led by crab who is a dead town read of mine. it's contaminated by too much town anger.
2. the ace wagon has been led by sotty who is 50/50 manipulative town who's saving neck when his case on crab explodedor manipulative scum who's saving neck when his case on crab exploded.

Between sotty and ace, I find Sotty to be slightly more at risk to be scum.

But neither are glaringly obviously bad as GNR.

First I'd like someone to explain to me what the mason/neighbor thing is about: am I correct in understanding that Vi is claiming neighbor/mason with GNR? Whom she has asked to post her thoughts?

Secondly I ll reply to Vi in detail when I get to a computer this night. Short: Vi, you are correct in thinking that I was leaning on you being scum as I stated plainly in my wall post, but I think my points and pressure of you have been adequate. You have been posting rainbow ponies and deriding all my simple questions to you prior to even your vote on me. I read that as scum passive provocation, because you know that I'm _awesome_.I'm still circumspect of you because, well, I know for a fact that you are wrong about me, but yes I think you are very unlikely to be scum now and that I have been wrong.

In meantime, please everyone support deadline extension!! Because you don't want to miss the oppotunity of gauging my interaction with Vi (now that she seem to be able to talk through puppets) and everyone else's reactions to it!!!

*pulls your knit cap off*
In post 509, Guy_Named_Riggs wrote:Let's first point out that ace is correct in her posts being contentless prior to appearing. In addition, it's fairly suspect that she's only choosing to enter the arena close to deadline, instead of actually trying to hunt scum. I'm aware that she prefers to lurk, but in Tofu Mafia she was actually candid and a thorn in the side of the scum who I was glad (as scum) to see replaced. This time, it's more likely that she actually is scum.

Now, let's walk through her accusations.
*I am scum because I have refused questions to make my post restriction less of a hassle.

EXCUSE ME? Does it look like I can wax eloquent with this restriction to the extent that you're asking? How, exactly, do you expect me to "explain" myself or answer "why" in any clear way? I'm lucky I have this "out" I'm using now. And are you really going to knock me for not taking such a ridiculously bad post as 54 seriously?

*Guy_Named_Riggs is scum because of a "reversed chainsaw defense" (421) wherein Riggs tries to justify being a lurker and is simultaneously trying to cover himself if springlullaby is lynched and flips Town.

Am I the only person who sees this as transparent horse manure (fine, I'll start the obscenity machine just for this role) bullshit? "Reversed chainsaw defense"? What the hell is that supposed to be? And GNR is trying to self-servedly actively justify HIS OWN lurking in post 421? Even if anyone actually believes this (I don't, and would never have read the post this way), the person believing it wouldn't be Guy_Named_Riggs - the person I would expect to think so strategically would be springlullaby herself.

There's a much easier explanation for GNR 416 - scum asking why a wagon has magically formed on his partner. I mean, unexplained wagons on scum? FUDGE! You can't logically attack what doesn't have a logical basis! Plus it appeared to be the only thing worth commenting on out of everything up until that point. Never mind that springlullaby is now letting herself be talked out of the GNR wagon in favor of Shift.

*Guy_Named_Riggs is "scummier than me [springlullaby]".
Just a reminder, but springlullaby only started moving after four votes came her way. Am I really the only person reading self-preservation into this?

*Vi is scum for "too many 100% fluff posts".
I assure you I've made fewer fluff posts than you while posting six times as often. Your idea of a "useless" post seems to be heavily skewed toward me being scum. But that's where you're going in the end, isn't it?

468 is a bloody PbPA. She gives half a line of recap of what the post was about (unless spinnable), and ends with BAD or GOOD. How the hell are you supposed to form a coherent case from that? You can't. It's fake.

springlullaby is so obviously phony and she's so obviously getting away with it that it's actively making me ill.

In post 621, Fishythefish wrote:Some people:

ace

I thought ace's play was fine up until his SL vote. About the SL vote, I still think this:
In post 419, Fishythefish wrote:Yeah, I agree with CC about ace. He put up a post saying SL was active lurking, unlike Locke. This to justify a "leaning scum" read. By his logic, lurking instead of active lurking shouldn't have made her more scummy - and she hasn't posted since then. Now he thinks she's scum, and is prepared to switch off a wagon he's supported strongly to vote her. Feels like ace is prepared to massively compromise on the quality of the lynch to increase his chances of saving his own skin.

Then ace unvoted spring, on the basis of the wall post, with no analysis of it. The way he jumps on the wagon when it's got lots of momentum (3 quick votes), and jumps off it again when it stalls,
fits perfectly with scum
driving anything that isn't him. ace is also a great candidate to have killed sotty - I can't see anyone else in the game who would have had any motivation to do so.

Anxiety

@Anxiety: in Post 600 you criticise CC, and you say the reason for doing this is because he was the first to call you scum. Why is him calling you scum a reason to make unrelated points against him? This looks like a very pure form of OMGUS.
The read on SL - "either a VT or possibly third party" - is pretty bad. I just don't see anyone actually having that read on SL - where did it come from, Anxiety? Also, Anxiety now says he doesn't have to justify the read because it was right. This is wrong, and also reveals that Anxiety thinks that he should get towncred from calling a town lynch correctly - which would fit very nicely with
him being scum
calling a flip he already knew.
His latest post is horrible - without any real reason, he paints ace as flailing scum and saul as a defending buddy. This is just flinging mud around.

saulres

Saulres is pretty contentless. There's a lot of stuff that just doesn't seem to be designed to work out who's scum, or give reads. He makes a case on Anxiety, and that's really it for reads until post 275. After that, he thinks (like I did) that sotty came out badly of sotty vs. CC - and says that my post was what he was thinking.
He feels like scum
doing the minimum to get through the game.

G_N_R

I don't see any reason to think he's scum.

@CC: why are you voting G_N_R?

I want you to out yourself as Penn Jilette in your next post and quote this entire post on my behalf, with no editions. You don't get to ask why and you don't get to object. This is, bar nothing, the most pro-Town thing you can do at this point. If you post anywhere on site and do not post this, I will treat it as a scum claim and act accordingly.

Let's just get everything cleared up, since I'd hate to see springlullaby walk free Today. (...)

So that should answer some questions - I didn't exactly give Riggs a choice but to come forward.

Riggs is on the chopping block because he has been completely useless inthread and a deer in the headlights in the QT. I've looked at some other games and quite frankly I can't justify a legitimate confused Town read on him in favor of a newbscum read.

Vi wrote:Riggs is playing one or two other games as well. There is ~content~. Cue surprise.

There is actually one big thing in the QT that sets off alarms, aside from his continued ignorance of my constant pleas for him to say something, anything that looks like scumhunting. With that said, I'd like to keep that to myself for right now.

Juls had somewhat convinced me of her thoughts on him from what she left me in our QT and Vi looks way more protown out of that neighborhood.

@Vi - my biggest hangup with GNR is that he openly posted your suspicions of him in thread. Why would he do that as scum? I mean, I think his claiming time was weird and may have been meant as an attempt to out your role info...but his scum team would have already had that info, so that kind of knocks that motivation down. Why would he malign his name with your words if he's scum?

I told VP in our QT he can switch it back if he feels so inclined but I really feel strongly that scum is in Junpei/Ace (maybe even both although their "closeness in the openness" kinda makes me think maybe not both). GNR is useless for sure and some of my suspicion toward him was tied to Sotty. Also, the fact that Vi, who I have a town read on for the most part, is pushing him makes me interested to know more about their interactions outside of thread.

Me blocking Anxiety isn't the only explanation for a missed kill - Vi being shot at by a scumteam not including GNR is the other obvious one - but it's certainly one explanation, and that makes him more likely scum. It also makes him a much better lynch than GNR. Because if GNR is scum, then scum wouldn't shoot at Vi (or indeed GNR), and so we need another explanation for a missed kill.

Tell me, does a newbie really ask the question "do you know if your bulletproof vest is hit or not?". I don't think they do. I think a newbie doesn't even think about that. It reads as if someone has told them the details of their role and he is trying to ask a question that makes him look "confused" if and when GNR gets lynched. So, yes, now I have an excuse to get back on a GNR lynch which I wasn't at all opposed to. Wow, crazy, I know.

In post 1697, Juls wrote:Oh and Vi, I absolutely loved your post restriction. I know it was annoying and you couldn't communicate for shit but it was so fun to read.
Apparently I was only slightly less understandable than normal :shifty:

I originally just wanted to play around; the restriction started becoming an issue when I actually wanted to convince people to do anything. I lucked out a LOT with ace and Riggs getting somewhat forced into being my interpreter. Beyond that, I would have had to become one of those semi-lurker sorts who places a vote down and acts obstinate 80% of the time.

I screwed up D3 muchly much by encouraging all of the setup speculation. I apologize, but I didn't really know what to expect from a four-scum Limited Reveal game with only one successful kill in two Nights. I really should have kept my predictions more grounded.

4nxi3ty - To be entirely honest I think you could have rode a 2dumb4scum persona to the endgame. What really started making you ping as scum IMO was when you started playing to be serious once it looked like scum were getting the upper hand. But, live, learn, etc.

I'm willing to be patient with the new players because I can see that they all genuinely wanted to play/win, and I remember fully well when I was new and incredibly bad at the game - I only lynched scum by joining deadline wagons I opposed all Day. Or maybe that was me two months ago. Time is relative and etc.

Overall I'm pleased, DDD. You don't mod games often AFAIK, but this one delivered well. Thanks to the players for doing their best as well :)

The thing is, it's not my feeling that I'm not a good player and having so many losses before the last two wins (yay!). It's that, as you can probably tell, I overthink things too much. And by that, I mean I'm thinking about them
almost all the time
. Twice this game I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep; if you look at my post times you'll see a couple which are way out of synch with the others. It's actually become unhealthy for me to play. It saddens me that I can't shut it out of my mind, but there it is. So Junpei, it's not because I lost my motivation -- it's because I had too
much
motivation :P
I know the feeling. Usually more as scum though. But that's something you have to learn how to control; unless it's super-urgent, just go back to sleep and get back to it in the morning. You probably won't forget, and if you do, it probably wasn't worth remembering :)

I'm not sure what made Snake obvious to you, because there were also things about Amrun which seemed scummy, at least to me -- as much as Snake's hammers seemed like a scumtell, Amrun's first three lynch vote placements seemed just as damning.
In the end it comes down to what's most plausible. That in turn requires you to know what scum are more likely to do. Although I can't blame you for wanting to lynch Amrun :shifty:

As for that last question - Contrary to the (admittedly plausible) theory that I've been engaging in a 3+ year long prank, I have personal reasons for not doing so.

Actually Vi is and always be a Unix text editor in my book. I don't even say it as a word. I always say "V" "I" because that is what I call my text editor!!!
True story: Before I came to this site, I found that I preferred Vim to Emacs. I got lost in the Ctrl-<button> combinations within a good thirty seconds.
