I agree with the above. I'll hold out for a little while before deciding who I think should kill and be killed.

This seems contradictory to me. Lee spends this post debunking ooba's logic, but doesn't actually show him to be scummy, just wrong. The second last paragraph is framed as if speaking to a townie, but then he calls ooba scum. Mixed messages, I say.LoudMouthLee (post 48) wrote:The problem is that you guys are blinded with the power of being ABLE to kill someone that you aren't thinking logically.
I'm really feeling Ooba to be scum.
Oops, he's dead (I think). Never mind.
Why? I had a thought on this too, but it's the opposite of yours.Adel wrote:DGB's death makes me much more suspicious of newer players than normal.
Surye is definitely bringing the token townishness up to this point, though offering to blow himself up detracts from this slightly.
I'm not so good at abstract thought, but Adel's plan seems ok to me, provided we're able to enforce the chosen kills and/or prevent superfluous light-strikings. If a scum refuses to kill their designated target that doesn't make their target scum. If a scum fastkills someone other than their designated target that also doesn't make their designated target scum. The success of this plan is somewhat reliant on the ratio of town to scum, and how much of a difference it makes if scum manage to take out an extra townie on their way out.
I don't particularly agree with much of anything that Skruffs said when he came in.
Skruffs: do you still think that Quag is either town or tricksy?"You were doing well until everyone died."

Isn't lynching directed by town consensus?
As someone else said, towns have a long history of self-destructing when everyone gets dayvigs, purely because people get trigger-happy. We need some sort of system to stop individuals from just blowing up whoever they want, and this is better than anything else I can think of. If the system fails it's due to a lack of town buy-in, not because the system itself is bad."You were doing well until everyone died."

That may work foryou, but what if everyone else behaves the same way? 20-odd individuals acting without regard for the opinion of the rest of the group are not going to win a game like this unless it's by blind luck.
It strikes me that we really should have had this discussion much earlier in the game - and we probably would have, if not for the individuals acting without regard for the group's opinion."You were doing well until everyone died."

That doesn't really look like a genuine appeal to emotion to me. It looks more like a lazy defence. I'd suggest that you come over to the correct wagon, and I'dstronglysuggest that you don't blow up a guy that nobody else finds suspicious."You were doing well until everyone died."

Re-reading Surye in isolation:
- Skitzer and NabNab look pretty town to me right now.
- I think it's likely that one of CES and Yos2 is Surye's buddy, as he keeps mentioning them in the same sentence throughout the game.
- I'm curious as to why Surye dragged Yos' name back into contention when it looked like people were trying to force him to blow up on day 4. He said in his post 19 that skitzer was his number 1 choice, then brought Yos back into things in the next post.
- I find it interesting that he tried to push the lurkers as the biggest threat at the start of day 5. This probably indicates that at least one of the active players is scum.
Not sure about this Elmo thing, it seems pretty circumstantial. More reading is required on my part."You were doing well until everyone died."

More or less what I said in my previous post (a week or so ago) - Surye's play leads me to think that one of Yos and CES is scum, and I've found Yos more actively pro-town in his play throughout the game. If not for the amount of attention that he's been given by other players, I'd probably have Yos in my "obvtown" brainspace by now."You were doing well until everyone died."

Yeesh, even when I'm useless I get nightkilled.
I guess I wasn't too far off with my townie picks at the point when I died, though I definitely picked wrong on the Yos/CES thing. Elvis was way under my radar at that point, so I've got no idea if I would have got it right at the end.
GG all, fun was had."You were doing well until everyone died."
