I'm not even sure why everyone fees the need to run in and right away strike a light.

I agree with this one--- striking a light doesn't "prove" you're a townie, and only serves to put the town in danger.

I'd like to hear from some of you who have struck your lights already, and tell us why you're doing it.

It is a neutral move - Disadvantage with it is that stupid townies can blow you up (ala Greasy Spot) - but it is in the townies best interests to discuss and then have two people blow each other up - It does not put the "Town in danger" as you stated it. No particular advantage . So i guess i struck a light because i can.

Risking two fast town kills before moving to night with no discussion is NOT a neutral move.

Because you guys struck your lights already, we could wind up with as many as SIX dead townies before we've even begun discussions. How is that neutral?

Claus for the simple fact that A) Yos2 is right that scum can easily lurk in this game, and thus may be doing exactly that, and B) I've never liked it when people ask others to "post who is most scummy." Why? Lots of reasons--- if those people turn up town, it helps absolve blame; It gives the scum an idea of who to bandwagon, and it helps them avoid NK'ing people who are suspicious.

I don't think Adel is scum--- there'd be too much danger that someone would call her bluff and strike a light. If she didn't follow through on her threat, she'd be (rightly) dynamited.

I really don't understand the implicit trust for quagmire coming from Adel, but I don't think that's really a tell for anything.

I think the idea is that if the enforcer doesn't do it, then they should be blown up for hesitating.

To me, the more troubling aspect of Yos' 276 wasn't the bit about two nights, but that he felt the need to hastily add 277's content afterward. He wants these guys blown up, but wants to make sure the town sees him on the side of extending the day. (Which is our best hope right now, honestly)

CES scares me mostly because I see him as the next irrational player that will blow up someone at the drop of a hat, but I'm not convinced he's scum at this point. Scum has no incentive to blow them selves up, and CES seems pretty convincing he'd take someone out when he feels justified (even if town doesn't..).

I'm pretty confused by the night kill choice myself, I have a suspicion that all the calling out of him as likely scum, and then him dieing, may be a tactic to distance scum from the kill, but I am not sure of this, what is everyone else's take on this choice?

In four completed games I've come in at the beginning and been able to random vote. In all four games, my random vote was against scum.

I think that's pretty neat. 4/4 on the random vote stage!

Surye's overreaction to my suspicion and constant throwing about of WIFOM was what got me convinced. Everyone was pressing for him to blow up, and he kept saying that he wouldn't until the town all agreed on it, but that point had clearly come and gone. Fortunately, in this game, we didn't have to wait for a lynching majority.
