I don't really care whether you think my absence is excused. Having discussions about what constitutes anti-town = trying to stay off the map? You, without giving any reason, have made a total of eight posts. "Hi, Kettle; I'm Pot. You're black."

Why are you getting onto Xyl's case for bandwagoning? Bandwagoning provides information. If you're town, how else do you expect to get information on D1? If you're town, how do you expect to win without information?

Suggesting a nolynch on D1 can be (but usually isn't) scummy, and it's antitown. Pushing a nolynch isn't scummy, but it's antitown. Suggesting that we lynch someone that's antitown but not scummy is both antitown and scummy.

We should not be lynching antitown players. We should be lynching protown players. I completely agree with the Fonz on this one.

....and, goodcopMills is back. I daresay that should we refuse to say It's OK, you crazy newbie and give him a hug, badcopMills will come back. I'm not sure whether this behaviour is scummy or not, but it certainly is erratic. The last sentence smells like a bad attempt at an excuse to me. I'm still divided, but if I had a gun to my head, I'd say he was a good lynch for today.

antitown = someone whose behaviour is harmful to town.

proscum = someone who is actively trying to help scum.

Scum are less likely change their minds than townies.

WRONG. In much smaller games, such as those played on IRC, this may be true. However, in forum mafia, scum tend to be more opportunistic, and may jump from wagon to wagon. In fact, people who stay on one person consistently are actually more likely to be town, even if they're wrong. Example of such a Pitbull Townie: BattleMage.

My lack of posting has been due to non-mafia issues. If you'll notice, I post more heavily on the weekends than during weekdays. This is no coincidence.

I think that the multiple colors probably denote multiple scumgroups. I can't think of a good reason for the mod to post different colours for each mafia member.

Your logic is escaping me. According to you, I'm in egruntz's scumgroup, and ... so I accused him of being scum with Xyl, and pushed for his lynch, so I could bus him? WHY would I do that as scum? Would I WANT to even the odds for the other scumteam? How would that be helpful to my team in the least?

Why would scum bus one of their own when there's another scumteam in the equation? What is the advantage to doing so at this point, in your view?

I find it highly unlikely that Bookitty is scum in group A (egruntz). I find it most likely that she's town, although, as vollkan mentioned, she could indeed be scum in group B (Xyl).

I'm liking a Snaps lynch. He jumps onto the egruntz-wagon after egruntz claims, and he's spending most of his time poking lurkers and more-or-less ignoring the conversations going on around him.

Ok, I'm just back from work, and I've forgotten all my suspicions about this game. I've attempted a reread, but I can't seem to focus. I'll have a meaningful post up tomorrow.

Ok, I'm here, I've reread the thread, and I really don't like Snaps' play. I didn't like the lurker-hunting yesterday, and I don't like the way he hasn't really accused anyone who's not a lurker or already suspicious of him today - basically, he's refraining from accusing anyone who will put any more pressure on him.

Yet Xyzzy has been careful not to vote for Panzerjager when he was in any real danger of being lynched, instead he has apparently dropped his suspicions and he has switched his attack to me for lurker hunting and being unhelpful.

This jumped out at me. Look at the weaselly words he uses to interpret zz's actions. Rather than "Xyzzy didn't find Panzerjager scummy enough to lynch; he finds me a better lynch for lurker hunting and being unhelpful.", he throws in phrases like "has been careful not to vote for Panzerjager when he was in any real danger of being lynched" and "apparently dropped his suspicions and he has switched his attack to me". Those are the words of someone who's absolutely sure that someone else is scum, yet he doesn't go on to vote him, FoS him, or even mention his opinions on zz's scumminess. It feels to me like someone just trying to stir up suspicion without making any commitment.

Also, lists that include the entire town are detrimental to town because they are giving a roadmap of who to kill. I would be glad, however, to give a list of top 3 possible scum.

Considering that the Scumputer output has yourself, Panzer and Xyzzy as scumbags, I'd like you to explain the above further.

I realize you are attacking Snaps. But who are you defending? Are you defending Xyzzy, or Panzer - even if the defense is indirect, I'd like an answer.

First, just like to say that the first half of that was the most pretentious and least deserving sentence I've heard since I played with Ryan.

Second, I'm not defending anyone, directly or indirectly.

Hey, I'm really sorry I didn't have a chance to post this weekend. Saturday I was out with friends and then went to a play, Sunday I went to the state chess championship (and went 4-0, might I add).
