After a few moments of everyone stood staring dumbfoundedly at the defaced and ruined statue, panic broke out, there were shouts and screams, until the town mayor called for silence, and began a speech:

"Citizens of Mattacini, are we going to let these evil scumbags take over our pleasant town, what would our fathers, the ones that defeated these people before many years ago, many sacrificing their lives for it, think of us if we did. I, as the leader of this town, will not allow this to happen. We're going to do what our heroic ancestors, the ones we celebrate every year, did. We're going to bring them to justice ourselv-"

At this point, a shot fired out from the general crowd, and the mayor collapsed, dying from a bullet to the heart. The Mafia had hoped this would panic the town into surrender, but this only strengthened their resolve to defeat them.

Tomorrow, they were going to lynch one of the 30 residents in the town. And keep doing this until the Mafia were dead. They hoped...

Sorry about the delay, my internet wasn't working last night.

Day breaks over Mattacini, the sun rises as gradually as the people rise; but soon enough, the town has gathered in the town square, next to the desecrated statue that symbolises exactly why they are here. The lynching rope, that myth has it was the original used the last time the town resorted to these drastic measures, is taken from the town hall and laid on a slab of stone, taken from the ruins of the statue, that is sitting on a high wooden platform, that has a beam hanging above it, and a trapdoor just beneath.

But, there seems to be a few less people than there was at yesterdays scene. A head count is done. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 26, 27. It seems that 3 of your number didn't even make it to the first day. You split and up to search the houses of the missing.

The first group didn't get very far on the path to

Tarhalindur's

house, as he is found dead in the street, his chest and head full of bullet holes. This pillar of the community will be missed, and there are some tears visible amongst the crowd as they lay him to rest, his

Police Badge

resting with him.

The second group get to the house of their victim. He recently moved back into the town, after a long trip away, but

didn't stay for long, his throat has been slit. Most of you are freaked out by his house, it looked like he was a fanatic Christian follower, with religious texts found strewn all over his house, and disturbingly, a sharpened Crucifix was found under his bed, with the words "Sent back to Hell" carved into it. Next to it, are more mysterious texts, that speak of plans to start a

religious cult

in this town! You retreat from the house quickly with the body, as the house creeps you all out.

The third victim was another well known person, some of you knew him as a man that upheld the law, other more unruly people knew him as a pain in the arse.

Deep down in the valley below the huge Mount Pollino, the beautiful town
of Mattacini had been deep in turmoil and arguments as heated as the sun that burned down on it's ancient stone walls and houses.

As the sun started to go down on this boiling hot Southern Italian day, there wasn't much doubt about who the majority of the town wanted to be hanging from the scaffold. Killa seven struggled all the way, but it was to no avail against the 11-strong lynch mob. As killa went through the trapdoor, a sickening crack was heard, and soon he had breathed his last.

Soon, a mob was looking through killa seven's house, and after his house had been ransacked and suitably looted, a very bloody knife was found in killa seven's kitchen, and in his diary, there was a very interesting entry in the date marked "Sunday 11th August 2007", it read

Another day dawns in the town of Mattacini, the sun starts it's elegant climb into the sky, slowly catching up to the distant top of the mighty Mount Pollino, which casts a darkened shadow over the town, almost representative of the evil that lurks within the town the shadow darkens, that is, until the sun manages to drift over to the West, well above the reaches of the ricky shadowcaster, then the town can bask in it's glorious rays, without the dark shadow overshadowing it. The majority of the town also hoped that that part would also, eventually, become representaitve of the end of this tale.

The townspeople awoke, most of their faces blank and not really awake, as most of them couldn't sleep in the fear that the scum of the town instill in them. A headcount reveals that only one perished in the night. The townspeople rushed away from the town square to inspect the residency of the deceased.

Once they had barged down the door of his house, they discovered a mess. The poor victim had been enjoying a simple dinner of Spaghetti in a tomato sauce, a sauce that was now infused with the blood and gore of

Lloyd

's brains, skull fragments, and other parts of his head. A

Shotgun

bullet was found lodged somewhere in the mess.

A quick ceremony was provided for the former

innocent townie

, before the remaining members of the town got down to the business of finding those responsible for the shadow over the town. Hopefully, today will also end with the light closer to overcoming the darkness.

As soon as the body of Lloyd had been buried, and the whole of the town had gathered into the Town Square, Rosso Carne climbed onto the steps of the gallows, and said he had an announcement to make, he cleared his throat, and said:

"I have been sent here by a very secret government organisation with reports of very dangerous Cult Activity in the area, that must be stamped out immediatly. I have reason to believe one of your number is invloved in these activities." He points dramatically to Battle Mage, "that man must be executed today as he is a member of these aforementioned cults."

When a number of people pointed out that Battle Mage was working for the good of the town despite saying the police found him a shifty charachter, Rosso simply said "I don't believe him, he is evil"

The overwhelming reply was "Well we don't believe you Rosso", and he soon realised what a mistake climbing the gallow steps were, a large lynch mod quickly drove him to the edge of the scaffold. He tried to escape by jumping off the edge, but unfortunatly, he sprained his ankle upon landing after a fairly big fall. The mob descended on him, and soon all that was left was a bloody mess of flesh and bone.

His body was searched, and one of the town members managed to extract a bent and bloodied ID card from inside his coat pocket. It read "Rosso Carne, Senior Agent of the Italian Agency of Internal Security". And it soon became apparent the town had made a big mistake...

The sun rose again, girding its loins for another blisteringly hot day above this small town. No-one had bothered to bury Rosso after yesterday, considering the mess his body was in. It was starting to rot and decay, and the smell was becoming unbearable and so one unfortunate member of the town was given the job of shovelling the remains into a small shallow grave.

3 more bodies were soon to join him 6 feet under.

The first was found in the street, poor old

never even got to his front door that night, a barrage of bullets prevented that. The unfortunate

was quickly laid to rest.

was found not much later, blood splattering his living room floor, a shotgun bullet had gone straight through his window and penetrated his skull, ending this simple

townie's

life instantly.

The final body had much less blood surrounding it, but

was still as stone cold dead as the other two victims of the night. The cause of his death was a mystery, until a huge amount of the chemical compound like the one used in local Rat Poisons was found in his system. A more important mystery however were the past intentions of the deceased, and a quick search of his house soon gave up his mysteries. A number of very high quality suits, a few high-power assault rifles here and there and, most importantly, a lineage chart showing him to be the direct descendant of the leader of the thugs who infiltrated this town all those years ago. The town rejoices, as the

has perished!

Another day, another couple of unfortunate's (or maybe fortunate's, who knows) meeting their makers overnight, both with large gaping holes in their lifeless bodies. While some stay behind to bury the deceased, the rest of you search their houses to check their intentions while they were still living.

As soon as some of you enter, you soon wish you hadn't, as you start feeling light headed and dizzy, and you soon discover the source, some odd chemicals boiling and fermenting and releasing smoke of various colours. You soon find out (well, no doubt some of you already knew) that he is the town's well respected

, you quickly leave as his bullet-penetrated body is quietly laid to rest.

is next into the graveyard, his house is much more mundane, and reveals no dark secrets about it's former owner, he was just a simple

who led an ordinary life.

The day seemed to drag on forever, everyone was bleary eyed and groggy from many sleepless nights, either fearing for their lives or being the cause for that fear. You have always had a mortal enemy since childhood, you have almost unnatural connections to eachother, you were born in rooms next to eachother in the same moment, you have always liked the same things, yet you have always hated eachother with a fierce passion, like you were always meant to. You have always felt you have a special destiny in life, you keep having weird dreams, people say you have a mysterious aura about you.

And a couple of months ago, you finally found out why you are special.

You were hiking through the Amazonian rainforests, you were nearing the end of your journey, and was looking forward to going back home, when you stumbled across a cave, and you felt as if you had to explore it, almost as if there was a magnet drawing you towards it. Things suddenly clicked, you just felt that this cave was the most important thing in your life. You ventured into it, you spent an hour in it, and you were ready to give up, thoroughly disapointed at your foolishness, of course there was nothing in this cave, it's just a stupid random hole in the middle of a forest. But then, just as you were ready to leave the cave, writing just etched itself on the wall. It said,

I know you have always felt special, there is also someone out there that you have had strong connections with all your life, and yet you have always hated them. You have never understand why you have felt special and why you hate this person that you have so much in common with.

This is why:

You have, since birth, been entrusted with a God given quest, a very important one, you are quite literally the most important person on Earth. The devil is walking the Earth, disguised as a normal human being. That person is the person you have always hated and have always had mysterious bonds with. Your job is to kill this person. You, and you alone, can kill Satan himself.

But this is not all, once you have killed the devil, you have to unite everyone into one group of people who obey and love God, and who love and respect eachother.

You get home, and to your horror, you find everything's different, you find everyone now has these strange aliases, worst of all, you can no longer recognise your mortal enemy, you've been away for that long. But, you do know that he cannot recognise you either.

You've decided to check everyone in the town each night to see if they are your target, this quest is God given, so you know as soon as you find the Devil, you'll just know it's him. You can check 2 people each night.

After you've found the devil and killed him, then you can choose 1 person each night to recruit him to your holy cult. There are a few people who will not be able to be recruited, since they are unholy, and don't believe in God, they will burn in hell (Only Townies can be recruited). Your cult will win if it represents half the players still alive.

There is a catch though. If your target is killed by anybody else but you on your own (Lynching, Mafia NK), you will have failed your quest, and will become a Survivor, and you will win simply if you are alive at the end.

You work for the IAIS, or the Italian Agancy of Internal Security, a very secret organisation that deals with the things that is decidedly not for the public to know about. It has recieved information about some strange Cult activity in the area, and you have been sent to deal with it. Every night, you may check one player for Cult Related Activity, and decide whether or not they are involved in it.

Drug Dealer

You are the town's "respected" Drug Dealer. You had a troubled childhood, your Dad left home when you were two years old, leaving your mother to take care of 6 children, which she sadly just couldn't cope with. You never paid attention in school, and left with no qualifications whatsoever. But, it doesn't matter, you turned to a life of crime instead, and started dealing drugs. Now you earn tons of money, much more than the geeks who you went to school (sometimes anyway) with.

Every night, you may deal a player you choose any of these drugs you choose (You have an unlimited supply of each):

Morphine

: This protects a player against 1 attack that night

Rat Poison

: This kills the person you target, assuming they are not protected by a doctor.

Cocaine

: This Roleblocks the chosen player that night.

Ecstacy

: This is a Motivator, and allows the chosen player to perform twice as many actions that night, assuming they have any.

Unfortunatly, sometimes, you make a few mistakes, and label drugs wrongly. There is a 25% chance of the player you chose being given a random drug out of the 4 you have. You have to deal every night, to keep your precious cashflow going.

Also, the Cops have been on your tail recently, they're out to get you, so any investigations on you will turn up guilty. You win when all anti-town players are dead.
