The small town of Paradiso was a paradise village, built from scratch by wealthy investors to cater to the most affluent customers desiring eden-like conditions and their every whim catered to. And in the summer months, that's exactly what Paradiso was - complete indulgance for the few customers who could afford time there. However, during the winter, Paradiso was a frigid place a long ways from anywhere civilized, not a desireable place for anyone to stay. However, every year a crew of eight were hired and trained in the maintenance of Paradiso, and were isolated there for three long months until the ways were open.
And that's where you find yourself now, a winter paradise, but when you signed up, little did you know that the mafia had it in for Paradiso - the owners of it apparently refused to pay "protection" fees. So one morning, you all converge in dining hall #42, the one you all normally eat in, and notice mathcam, the crew leader is missing. Nothing is thought of it, until he's missing from lunch as well. You go to wake him up, and find him - well, most of him anyways - in various parts of his room. Written on a wall in blood is "Tell the owners another caretaker will die each night until payment is made - Love, The Mafia". A hurried phone call was made to the owners, who decide they need more time to decide, and want you guys to find the mafia and take them out.

And so the day began, the seven caretakes left were on their own, the owners still deliberating on their payment plans... so it was up to those trapped in winter paradise to try to get rid of the goons who worked at night.
Anwyay, I'll refrain from voting until someone does something suspicious. With only 4 to lynch a runaway random bandwaggon (esp with a bunch of newbies) could probably become fairly dangerous.

I wonder if there was a reason teh mafia killed Mathcam first.
It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that he is a nonplaying character would it?
Well before we begin the unseamly business of flinging unfounded allegations around let us remember dear Mathcam who was taken from us in such tragic circumstances. May he rest in the ever-gracious arms of the God of non-playing characters.
I have no unfounded accusations to fling, just a random vote to help get everyone here. And it sure is nice to know that the mafia loves us, that's so sweet.

I think we should have some more discussion before lynching someone today. I think we can only afford to lynch 2 townies before we lose, so quickly lynching a townie today would be very bad for us, leaving us with a very difficult sittuation on day 2. We would have very little day 1 discussion to go on, and we would have to make a correct lynch.
Now, since there seems to be a lack of posting by Someone, I looked at his posts in newbie mafia 5. He seems almost too eager to lynch especially with so little discussion and so much on the line. As one who has more posts than our moderatior, I'd assume he'd know that roleclaims are highly ineffective in vanilla mafia games such as this and can hurt the town if it reveals the doctor.

For one thing...I am not more experienced then werebear...I have just been more active since the post count has been reset. And I frankly do not know what's wrong with role-claims, especially on day 1. Day one is usually random in any event. Day two is usually when the real thinking starts.
This is just here so my posts don't look so ugly when I edit them.
And they all got very very quiet all of a sudden, and apparently were waiting for anyone else to throw forth accusations. This sadly didn't seem to be working.

Looking past the wintery horizon, just_nigel cries out as if praying to a moderator who was treating his life like a game, "What more do you expect of me? I have falsely accuesed my nieghbor, as i have been falsely accuesd myself. What more do you want from me?"
As the storm clouds gather just_nigel can't help wondering if the uneasy feeling of an impending deadline will spell the end of 'teh' greater 'good' just_himself or maybe even 'someone' else.
