Hey Zaidan. If you're town, calm down and talk to your teammates. Tell them what's going on. Force them to read this game(especially force hectic and hoppy) and then make them figure out how to um obvtown in your situation and then do that.

from my experience in among us with cake!scum, he didn't use his confident attitude to maneuver his scum team into a position in which they could win the game, in fact he kind of cared more about his own survival than his team's odds of winning which led him to more or less wave a white flag and surrender after we flawlessly killed all his teammates and he kind of bussed his SPRs that he needed to keep alive to prevent town from winning. I don't think Cake!Scum would actually be opportunistic or sacrifice positioning to move closer to winning.

I don't think she would open a red PM and approach my slot in this way to "pocket" me - I'm already very fond of her - she need but to laugh, smile and dance with me to have me hopelessly head over heels pocketed.

Everything you say about her approach to my slot just feels so unnecessary for her to do.

She doesn't need to "manipulate" me by framing herself as town or anything like that - I feel her heart is pulled in two directions - she wants to fall into my arms but she also wants to be responsible to the game, to her team, and to herself to play this well and actually parse my alignment. She knows I am capable of doing almost anything to win, except I would not break her heart to do it.

The line that made me certain with every fiber of my soul that she is town was this one:

This is a type of targetted AtE that I do not believe someone like her is capable of doing as a red role PM - I don't think she would break me to win a mafia game, and I don't think she would have the expectation that I townread her if she was mafia and state that it is

for me to subject her to such doubt and questioning. I feel her emotionally even though she is on the other side of the world from me, she hurts and needs my love and I don't think it would be possible for her to do this if she were scum.

my read rate on kanna is 100%, my read rate on ydrasse/isis/hectic is 100%.(I mis-read Hectic once as scum when he was town but that was more from paranoia than anything else - I don't miss on townside reads)

I don't think that was emotional manipulation. It was pretty early in the game and not in response to pressure. I don't know if people are seeking to manipulate others that early on. It read more of a follow up of past game.
What do you think of her actions besides the interactions with you?

I kind of just ignore people after I throw them in my town-bin unless the game state moves to a point where my townbin has to be wrong then I re-evaluate everything.

Most of what she's done is not very memorable, she is not very assertive in general. It could be due to pressure from the event or because of the size and pacing of the game, I think a lot of the conclusions PB has jumped to about her are quite ungenerous.

I've played a lot of games since I've come back from a decade long hiatus,

My playstyle is not the same as it used to be, I've more or less been experimenting.

I've try-harded and taken over towngames and forced wins when it looked very bad and I've slacked and lost.

Two of the town!games I've tried insanely hard in were: Chara's Folly and Micro 960.

Both of them ended in town losses where I got mis-elimmed - both of them are largely my fault for taking over when I should not have and causing things to be worse for everyone else involved.

Two games that recently finished - College Basketball Players and Temple of Legends, I was town and I took a much more relaxed and carefree approach to the game.

In both games I did not push a single mis-elim through - I deferred to people that I respected. We lost one and won one. On reflection I think I probably could've won CBP Mini if I had taken over the game state and forced out the last scum - but I don't think it would've been enjoyable for me or her to play in such a manner.

I am happier to do less because this game sometimes has too many egos. It's about working together to solve a problem, not being the loudest voice in the room and insisting that you absolutely have to be right.

I'm not saying that way is definitely a high win-rate than my old style but I feel it is definitely more enjoyable for me.

Tenet for example as you know was really a problem for the town because too many town-side players had strong opinions and were not really listening to each other - that led to the scum being able to take advantage and town cohesion never actually happened.

PB's case painted a pretty solid picture of you trying to present as a normal townie evaluating the game while not really doing much actual solving. Your response to PB's case was to argue with the facts, not the reasoning, but also to assume that he's trying to spin things to discredit you (why did you assume that? surely if he was town it was in good faith even if his characterizations weren't accurate). You later dropped this read with essentially no explanation beyond "I wasn't thinking straight" which, even if true, is surely not all you can say on the matter if you're town (and it's also the easiest thing in the world to say as scum if you've decided that you can't counterpush PB and get away with it)... and it's also not all you can say on PB.

Then you softed and held the thread hostage while you wrote up some posts which felt like mostly minor responses to things and a readlist that's mostly just the playerlist sorted by activity with a few exceptions (PB, Murder, Jingle). And then you not only claimed a weak role that doesn't match with your soft, but you indicated that you knew it was a weak role, and didn't say anything about why you softed a strong one.
