That's right. It's happened again. The Mafia have invaded a random small town in the middle of nowhere. This time though, something is different. This time they haven't killed the Mayor/City Council/other random leadership position. This time, they are just minding their own business and trying to make an honest living. But we won't stand for

General Rules:

4. Modkilled players become Neutral Survivors and automatically lose. In addition, a modkill either will or won't end the day depending on which will hurt the modkilled player's faction the most (scum modkill will not, town modkill will).

Do not post in green. It is my color. Impersonating the mod will cause disciplinary action to be taken.

Voting, lynching, and death

6. Votes must be in bold:

7. You must unvote before you can place another vote.

8. Voting for a

is acceptable.

9. Lynch happens when a player reaches a voting level equal to 1/2 of living players + 1 rounded down.

10. At deadline, the required number of votes to lynch is 1/2 of the normal amount, also rounded down (if it would be 6, it is 3; if 5, also 3). However, once there are 7 or less players alive a full majority will be required to lynch.

11. Roles will be revealed upon death.

12. Once a player has been lynched they are allowed a single 'bah' post with no game related content.

13. Once a lynch count has been reached, the game enters twilight. During twilight anyone except the lynched player may continue to speak until I post a death scene.

Activity

14. By signing up for this game you have agreed to treat it as a commitment. I expect you to honor that commitment.

15. Day Phases will have a non retractable deadline of 3 real life weeks. Night Phases will have a non retractable deadline of 72 hours.

16. If a player has not posted in 36 hours (yes, a day and a half. Slow games are pointless) then I will prod them. They will then have 24 hours to respond

Mod update: You have ~24 hours to deadline. The votecount has not changed (I think).

Also, it is obvious that several of you have not read the rules. Plurality gets a lynch at deadline. As long as someone has at least 4 votes they will die.

Still looking for a replacement for PhilyEc. I think I may have one lined up, but I'm waiting to hear back from them.

After some time spent arguing and trying to decide who to kill off first, the town finally decides on Walnut just minutes before nightfall.

The bloodthirsty mob march the unfortunate legume to the gallows and string him up. As his corpse swings in the slight breeze they go and search his house, finding first a noose, recently trimmed of stray strands in order to make tightening it around its victim's neck easier. Next, they come across a hammah which has just recently been polished.

Looks like Walnut was an amazingly violent person in life. Guess he wasn't scum then.

First, you go to magnus_orion's house, and begin to snoop around. You find him laying in his bed with his throat cut, dead as a doornail.

I received word today that some of you bad people want to hurt this little child Seraphim. Well I won't stand for it, ya hear? I want you all to know right now that he's not out to kill anyone. In fact, he's as innocent as can be.

Seraphim is an innocent child. He is aligned with the town.

@People wondering about the inclusion of this role in a normal: You were told before signups even began that there would be a single role that is somewhat atypical. This is allowed by the definition of a Normal Game accoding to the wiki, and has also been a possible role available to a normal game I once played in.

Try to pick up the activity, guys. Everyone is complaining about the game being slow, but not doing anything to fix that. I understand that scenerios with few players left cause people to hesitate, but please try to post a bit more.

Everyone seems to be moving sluggishly after losing so many townies these last few days. Are the townspeople finally beginning to question their violent tendencies?

Apparently not, because as dusk begins to set in the body of Knight of Cydonia is left to swing in the wind while the townspeople go check his house.

At first, nothing seems amiss, and the townspeople begin to despair, thinking that the Mafia has managed to evade capture once again, but then they find a note taped to his fridge. The note reads:

Day 2:

They've killed Isacc, which means they're getting closer to uncovering our cell. I must tread carefully, or they will kill me too. Even so, I shall avenge him by taking over this town in his stead.

I made a nice long final thoughts post, but then I lost it, so now I'm irritated. Here's the conclusion though:

At the beginning of the game the scum did a nice job of dominating the Day game, while the town dominated the Night game, but as the game progressed into its later stages the roles were rather soundly reversed when all of the town's Night actions were either spent or being blocked, while at the same time strong play from Trumpet, caf, and Mastin put the scum back on the defensive, and eventually eliminated them. Good play on both sides, but the importance of controlling the Day was what really got the scum in the end.
